Villa Serenity, Tanzania Unforgettable

The villa was huge, so plenty of space for our family. It was nice having our own swimming pool. Good food. Nice and quiet.

The beach wasn't swimable because of the tide, but you can still walk around and explore.

Villa Serenity provides affordable villas within a hotel setting, each with their own pool and two or three bedrooms depending on the villa. This is perfect for family holidays. The staff is extremely friendly and always very helpful. The compound is directly on the beach so you just walk from the hotel restaurant to the beach.

The breakfast is a bit disappointing, in particular the coffee given that Tanzania has great coffee. There could also be a better selection of bread. The rooms are in variable state of maintenance - one toilet flush was leaking, one was quite smelly and the keys on one of the rooms on the terrace did not work.

Location - Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Lovely walk along the beach towards Paje. Facilities - Pool was cleaned to a very high standard. Lovely gardens, maintained very well. Facilities cleaned to a high standard. If you are a large group or family - you will need the 4 bedroom villa. Friendly and polite staff Good air conditioning

I chose this property because of the good reviews on WIFI and location. Unfortunately for us the WIFI was really poor and affected the holiday. I run a business and I am completing a course, & not having WIFI caused unnecessary stress. The Food Court across the road, has strong WIFI and they show World Cup Matches. I went without WIFI for long periods of time until I used the Food Court for meals. Restaurant- evening meal choices were very limited and unfortunately breakfast was cold most days Villa - swimming pool for Villa 3 - the depths are incorrect. Please be very careful as the floor is slippery and 4ft is really approx 5ft 8. 6ft is really approx 6ft 5. No rail on side to hold onto. Other villas near beach did not have this problem. Hot water not always available. Beachfront villa- one bathroom unusable because strong smell of sewage. Hit and miss which villas had cutlery , kettle, cups.
