Good location on the beach - rooms were big and near the pool. Clean and well appointed.
Some staff in restaurant were pretty slow to attend to you. But that’s about all that was wrong.

Due to cancelled flights we had to unexpectedly extend our stay in Zanzibar, and choosing Spice Island Hotel turned out to be the best decision we could have made.
Before arriving here we had stayed in two other hotels on the island, but this one was truly exceptional. Everything about the place exceeded our expectations.
The rooms are beautiful, spacious and luxurious, and the cleanliness is at a true European standard. The atmosphere is peaceful, elegant and very welcoming.
What impressed us the most, however, was the incredible hospitality. Everyone – from the staff to the owners – was extremely kind, attentive and genuinely caring.
We were travelling as a family with our 4-year-old daughter and felt completely comfortable. The pool is wonderful, the food is delicious and diverse, and the whole place has such a warm and relaxing feeling.
We arrived quite stressed because of the cancelled flights and the uncertainty about our trip, but staying here made us feel calm and truly at home.
A very special thank you to Tatyana and her wonderful family for their kindness, care and hospitality. They made our unexpected extra days in Zanzibar truly special.
We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zanzibar and we would absolutely love to come back again.
