A lucky find.
The cottage was clean + well equipped. We had a wonderful few days. The owners were on the end of telephone if we needed anything+ left us provisions including a bottle of wine. The cottage was warm + cosy + we would definitely go back.
The weather spoilt it a little because the owner told us of local walks that we were unable to do. Also the garden was secluded but we couldn't take advantage of it because of the rain. There was nothing that we didn't like about the cottage.

nice homely stay
Very quaint cottage in a nice village. Only a few miles from Ipswich. Nicely equipped kitchen with everything you need. Really nice welcome pack, bread, eggs, cheese, jam and a bottle of wine. The host was really friendly and easy to get hold of. The only negative was the parking which was very steep and meant you had to reverse out onto the road, not helped by a car parked opposite. I am pretty confident when driving so it was nit an issue for me really. The bed was comfy, the lounge was nice and warm, especially with the log burner and there was a good choice of tv, including prime. I would stay again.

The owner lived some distance away but did his best to put things right. The carpets were cleaned almost immediately and the caretaker was sent to clean the bathroom (albeit a very poor job). A nice hamper was there with extra essentials in the fridge. The area was nice with a lovely walk to be had along the river nearby.
The cottage was lovely in style but there appears to be a maintenance and cleaning problem to the point it was actually filthy. The bathroom had not been cleaned after the previous occupant, the duvet and pillows were soiled, kitchenware was unwashed in the cupboards and everywhere desperately needed vacuuming. The smell of dog was overwhelming. The smoke alarms were not working. The caretaker was unresponsive - he would not answer calls or respond to text. We would have left immediately but circumstances dictated otherwise.
