Perfect location for our needs visiting our first grandchild. Lovely village, friendly villagers and pleasant walks nearby. In the countryside but very handy for Ipswich
The doorways were low but it didn't take long for us to remember to duck and this was part of the cottage's charm. It is a Tudor cottage and it's history is there to see.

Convenient location just off A14. Well equipped clean small cottage. Communications with the owner re getting access was fine. They were friendly and helpful.
Our only gripe and this is very individual to us and I probably didn't read the description carefully was the cottage isn't suitable for anyone with mobility problems: the stairs are very narrow and steep. Also because of the age of the property floors are uneven particularly upstairs. But we managed. Apart from this everything was fine.

The cottage is full of charm with a homely feeling. The secure garden is a sun trap from dawn to dusk. Well equipped kitchen. Cosy living room with a log burner. Downstair shower and toilet. Steep stairs with good handrails leading to two bedrooms and a separate toilet. A perfect stay for two people and two dogs. A community shop 2 minutes walk at one end of the village and a must visit antique shop and 1940’s tea room 2 minutes the other way. Lovey walks down the river just past the community centre. One way leading to the next village with more facilities. The local pub is a short 5 minute drive away.,
There was nothing not to like. Some people commented on the access to the drive was hindered due to a parked car opposite. I have a large estate car and I was able to get on and off the drive regardless The traffic at rush hour doesn’t last long.

The cottage was clean + well equipped. We had a wonderful few days. The owners were on the end of telephone if we needed anything+ left us provisions including a bottle of wine. The cottage was warm + cosy + we would definitely go back.
The weather spoilt it a little because the owner told us of local walks that we were unable to do. Also the garden was secluded but we couldn't take advantage of it because of the rain. There was nothing that we didn't like about the cottage.
