Warm and Friendly stay

We had an amazing five night stay at Apartments Ukanc and would highly recommend this family run apartments and friendly restaurant to anyone coming to the stunning Alpine area of Lake Bohinj. The location is superb for skiing at Vogel Ski fields with the cable car a short walk away. The world famous Lake Bohinj is also just a short stroll away along with many hiking, boating and swimming opportunities. We were very comfortable in the apartment and found the kitchen to be easy to cook our meals. We ate at the restaurant one night and were delighted with the food and prices. Katja and Denis and their family are so friendly and made us feel very welcome.

A perfect stay in Bohinj

The apartment was spotless! We stayed there for a few days with our puppies and we could not mention anything what was not perfect. The room, the staff, the location, everything!

Fabulous!

Fabulous apartment! Comfortable, quiet and clean. Located in a beautiful quiet location by Lake Bohinj. Local buses and trains allow exploration of other areas. Comfortable bed with quality bedding. Small but more than adequate kitchen, equipped with everything I needed. Bathroom equipped with a powerful shower and plenty of hot water The restaurant beneath the apartments opened from around 3pm until 9 pm and the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. My apartment was perfectly situated and so quiet, I slept so well each night with no disturbance from other guests. If that's important to you, which for me it is, you won't be disappointed. I recommend a Julian Alps Card if staying at Bohinj for 2 nights or more, available from the information centre in the nearby village. If you arrive in the area by public transport, which I did it is heavily discounted and gives free bus and train travel in the Bohinj area and other discounts/offers. Oh and the walks around the lake are fabulous with spots to stop and admire the views or take a swim...not too cold in September ☺️

Perfect place to stay in Bohinj lake confortable aprtament with all the necessary and a big terraza. The resturant serves testy food at good price for the value. Katia was always available to support

Best place ever

The best location in the whole Triglav area - lake, river, mountains, waterfall. Calm, beautiful, stunning. Rooms were very clean and tidy! Whole experience was the best thanks to the owners and Anton from restaurant, who helped us with preparation of hiking trip (where to go etc). Definately I will come back

Location is great, away from the crowds, but some of the details need addressing.

Location was fabulous and there was plenty of space. Restaurant downstairs was good and very convenient.

Bathroom door didn’t close. Dogs barking. Parking and access was a bit of a challenge. When you arrive, the restaurant is obvious, but it was not clear where the lodging was, we had to ask a neighbor where to go.

Avoid in summer

Beautiful surroundings, lovely apartment.

VERY hot in the room on a summer night. No air conditioning or fans. The staff suggested we open the windows but when you do that the room is full of mosquitoes. Most of the staff at the restaurant were gruff and unpleasant. The woman who checked us in was great but the rest of the staff were mostly teenagers who seemed to have no idea what they were doing. For example, when we sat down to dinner, we waited almost forty minutes for a bottle of water.

Wonderful stay!

Great quiet location at the lake. Bohinj was our favourite place on our trip to Slovenia - much more beautiful than Bled and very quiet in May. We loved the Mostnica Gorge walk, the Vogel cable car. Walk around the lake very lovely too. Very nice staff at the apartments. Studio was well equipped for our stay.

We stayed in a room with an amazing, full mountain view. The staff was very friendly. Excellent heating temperature in winter time. Apartement was clean. We were there with 2 dogs, so perfect place to stay even with dogs.

Apartment clean, kitchen fully equipped, nice and big terrace, in the green trees, which was pretty amazing. Good location, 10 minutes walk to the very nice and intimate beach of Bohnij lake. Restaurant downstairs.
