We had the apartment on the top floor of this 18th-century building, overlooking the historic Saint Catherine Catholic Church and square. Not a better location in all of Honfleur for the Saturday market. ❤️

Unfortunately: THE STAIRS! I think there were 6 flights of stairs to reach our room. I had to unpack my heavy suitcase and take things up separately because I did not want to mar the lovely old wooden stairs. My roommate complained about noisy banging from the nearby dumpsters, but in the back bedroom, I heard nothing.

Relaxing stay in Honfleur

Outstanding location in the very center of Old Honfleur, easy walking distance to everything. Despite being so central, the rooms are also very quiet. Some rooms have very nice view. The two rooms we rented were spacious, very clean, and nicely appointed and decorated. The staff (I presume the owner) were very quick to communicate all the necessary detail, no problems finding the place and checking in. Highly recommended.

Excellent clean accommodation in an attractive property located in a lovely central location

Excellent central location. Despite its central position the apartment was very quiet. On Saturdays the excellent market is held in the square and streets right outside the apartment. Short walk to the harbour and cafes Exceptionally clean, everything looked brand new. Although there is no long term parking nearby, I could bring the car up close to the property to quickly collect my luggage when leaving. Welcoming owner

I could not find any fault with the accommodation but would prefer a nice view. In future, if an apartment with kitchen facilities is available with a view of the square I would consider this option.

The location is perfect - overlooking the market square and St. Catherine's (wooden) Church. Lots of restaurants and shops near-by, and all was quiet by 10p.m. We would stay here again.

The 4a.m. Municipal bottle collection caused some sleep interruption - but that was it.

An absolute gem in Honfleur

Madame is a wonderful hostess and has a beautiful home centrally located, short steps from everything. The home is beautiful, our room extremely comfortable and very well appointed. Everything was just delightful!

Really, there is nothing to detract from what a wonderful experience we had in this spectacular place! Highly recommended!

Perfect romantic room in the heart of Honfleur

Fantastic location, with an amazing view on the Ste-Catherine Church, right in the center of the city and the shops / restaurants area. At walking distance from everything. Superbly renovated room, done with a lot of good taste. Very comfortable bed.

Everything was perfect, but note that the (private) bathroom / toilet has no door but only a curtain. No problem if you’re an « established » couple, but might lack of romanticism if you’re still in the honeymoon phase and you hear some noises while your beloved is using the toilet ;-)

Superb

Location is excellent in the center of Honfleur (this gives the negative points as well). Rooms are very nicely decorated, extremely well kept, really clean. We got tea/coffee and even local cookies. Owner was not overwhelmingly kind, but gave information on parking posibilities, local restaurants and was available (lives in the same house) when needed.

Facility is in the center of Honfleur: there are restaurants below the windows. As there is no airco in the rooms and one cannot really open the window due to the noise outside, at mid summer the rooms were warm. Other drawback of the location is parking: one cannot drive to the house to pack out just ~ 50 meters hoping that nobody wants to pass by on the narrow street. Pay parking is ~ 450m, free parking is ~ 800m (both full in high season).

Distance from the parking to carry our heavy luggage (several day road trip) through the crowded paved streets of Honfleur. Tip for future travellers: comfortably unload your luggage on Place St Catherine before parking.

Location is ideal, central and with a wonderful view on one of the most active squares in the city. the room was perfectly clean.

The photos made us believe it was a whole flat with a kitchen, which was interesting in a covid time! Unfortunately we found ourselves in a (pretty and cosy) room!... Happily enough, the owner proposed to warm up our meal in her own microwave and gave us all the necessary stuff.

Séjour charmant

Appartements charmants avec un emplacement central parfait. Nous avons loué les deux appartements pour deux nuits. L'appartement une chambre est un peu mieux équipé avec un four et un petit lave vaisselle, mais l'appartement deux chambres possède un plus grand salon et la vue est supérieure sur l'église sainte Catherine. L'appartement est situé dans un quartier très animé, si vous n'aimez ni le bruit ni l'animation, ce quartier n'est pas idéal, mais c'est évident dès le descriptif de l'annonce. Pour nous, aucun problème. Nous avons apprécié le marché du samedi matin, les nombreux restaurants, l'animation.

Peut-être changer la machine à café filtre par une machine à expresso type Nespresso ou Senseo.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt

Die Lage des Zimmers im Herzen der Stadt mit Aussicht auf die Holzkirche ist unschlagbar. Das Zimmer selber war klein, sauber, neu renoviert. Das Badezimmer ist sehr klein, es hat keine Türe zum Schliessen, nur einen Vorhang. Das ist vom Platz her verständlich, trotzdem schade. Unsere Velos konnten wir im Gang einstellen.

In Frankreich oft üblich, trotzdem stört es mich: Es fehlen die Tagesvorhänge. Beim Umkleiden muss das Zimmer mit den schweren Vorhängen völlig verdunkelt werden.
