Castle Lanes - Minutes from Poole Quay, Poole Town Location

Location just a short walk from the quay yet quiet. Everything we needed was provided. Plenty of kitchen utensils and even foil and clingfilm. Comfortable beds and plenty of storage space and towels.

The lighting in the lifts ( very dark). Our coffee maker had obviously been overlooked for some time- mouldy inside. Not that we needed it - just pointing it out.

Nice accommodation, comfortable and clean. Good location for the harbour. Close to car park. Great staff communication

Poole is a good place to visit, and there's lots to do within range, like the boat trips to the Jurassic coast, which we did. Weather was rainy all week, yet we managed to miss the rain every day. I didn't spent time figuring out the dryer part of the washer dryer, as am used to separates, so used the heating system, which was impressive, heated it up and switched it straight off, and it was pumping out heat for hours. Being as I dried clothes on the radiators, it showed there was a little build up of dust on them. Nice flat. Good double glazing in all rooms. Though the key for a front room window and the Juliet balcony door wasn't there. The staff in the office were helpful polite and on the case. Unlike some other properties I've stayed in, I didn't have to go and buy things like a can opener or scissors, everything needed was there.

It said views, and our was of a carpark, first floor. The kettle was badly scaled, so I had to descale it, but it's heavy water there I noted, as it started to build up again by the end of the week. The skirting in the bathroom had little paint on, and needs solvent based paint. Sofa had the legs facing odd directions, so I had to align them to avoid an accident. Top of wardrobes were very dusty, so stored the unused pillows next to it. All but one pillow was too deep for me, luckily I found an old slim one at the back. On arrival, freezer door was partially open, as ice had grown out of it, so I used the brilliant hair dryer, nothing more due to experience, to melt the ice and sort the freezer out so we could use it.
