Barcelona Eixample

Appartement agréable , très propre et isolé . Rien ne manque!

Let me start with check-in. Normally we were supposed to check in around 18:00 but thanks to our airlines we arrived in Barcelona at 23:00 and they also lost our luggage. After dealing with formalities etc. we only arrived at the apartment at midnight. With the extraordinary help of the team (Special thanks to Shaina and the Toni Space Team), one of them met us there and opened the apartment. So the check-in was as smooth as at normal times. The apartment and all the facilities were perfectly clean, all the furniture were in very good condition, the kitchen utensils, dishwasher and washing machine were as good as new. I should mention that I didn't feel the need to take photos of the apartment because the photos presented in the apartment description are 100% realistic. Apart from these, I should mention that the location of the apartment is excellent. It was only 7-8 minutes walk from the metro and there were many good quality restaurants, cafes and supermarkets around the apartment. It was very safe even late at night. We did not encounter any problems during our stay. We stayed only 5 nights but this apartment is also great for longer stays if you have a chance.

The two best things were Toni who manages the apartment (so so nice and helpful!) and waited for us and Bodega Joan which is downstairs and is nice, cheap and super comfortable for a takeout if you have a little child that goes to sleep early. It’s also nice there is air conditioning in every room. The kitchen was well equipped, with Nespresso machine (and the pods!) and basic stuff for cleaning. There were also enough towels for all of us for the stay which is appreciated always. The child crib had a good quality mattress and there was a high chair too although we had to pay extra for it (25€ for three nights). I really wish I could say it was perfect because they really tried to make it as enjoyable as possible but the apartment is just not a 10.

Although the location was great, very conveniently located close to restaurants and shops and the historical center, the Aribau street and the apartment being on the second floor make it just too noisy. They really tried though - the windows are new and of a good quality, there are outside shutters (persianas) but despite those the noise from the cars and motorcycles was just too much for us to sleep through. Although some people are perhaps used to it or can sleep with earplugs. The sofa is also very uncomfortable- it’s composed of three modules that are not attached to each other so every time you sit on it you end up in a hole between the two modules. Also the kitchen and main bathroom could use some refurbishing and the overall cleanliness was so-so.

There was an smell in the bathrooms. Probably of old pipes.
