The location was great ... Very close to the township & local shops. The bed was comfy!

Unfortunately we had so many issues with this booking. We couldn't find the property to begin with. Our maps took us to a house where the owner said it happened often that strangers would turn up. He kindly directed us to the property. When we got there I messaged the owner & was given the incorrect code for the lockbox. This took some time to sort out but once inside, we then had to find room keys & our way around the property. Other guests turned up and they too found their way around. Our cons were; The fan in the bathroom is very noisy & stays on for quite some time Check in is between 1600 - 1900 but check out is between 0900 - 1000 so what you pay isn't worth it There wasnt access to a fridge anywhere in the accessible areas so all the cereals couldn't be had as there was no milk The other guests were placed upstairs (us downstairs) & until they went to bed, there was continuous, quite loud steps & voices to be heard When we were leaving, we found the other guests had left the front door open - Not just unlocked but open

Safe location and a comfortable stay.

Very clean and well maintained with a very attentive hostess. We were very well taken care of. The room was very comfortable. The private bathroom was outside the bedroom, but still nice and private, so no issues really. It's in a quaint neighborhood that feels very safe.

Misleading Description

It was clean.

The room was described as deluxe, this description is misleading.I would not even call it standard, , basic would be a fair.description .The towels were small and thread bare.. The name is also misleading Glen Haven Bed and Breakfast but breakfast is not included in price. Then we were told cash only was acceptable for payment of breakfast. We booked for two nights but the room or on suite was not even cleaned or tidy up. Hospitality was none existant. Would not stay there again or recommend to others.

Lovely hostess

The host Irene was very friendly and even gave us some great dinner recommendations. The room was well equipped, and the bathroom was in good condition. Parking is available right in front of the house, the area is nice and quiet, and the town center is within walking distance. The only minor downside: the room was a bit small, so it was a bit tricky to store our luggage.

Great place to stay while exploring the causeway coast

Room was clean and comfortable. Excellent location to check out Ballycastle on foot and easy to drive out of town to see nearby attractions on the coast. Irene makes a great breakfast and has a selection of options to choose from. She also suggested a few pubs in town for traditional music and we had a lot of fun! Very nice experience here.

Irene is a lovely host, she makes you feel so welcome, we arrived late and she rang a local restaurant for us just as they were closing last orders, so they hung on for us and we had a great meal. The room was clean and bed very comfy.

Ballycastle is very convenient for the Causeway Coast and the bed and breakfast was good.

The owner was friendly and helpful. I rang the owner to gain access to the building and she answered promptly. Breakfast was very good and flexible to cope with my wife's allergy. The sign indicating that the property was a bed and breakfast was helpful.

We had a bit of difficulty locating the property as the road has various bits to it so locating the number we wanted was challenging. I wasn't sure how to gain access as there was no front door bell. The parking was OK but I had to park behind a bus which needed to go out fairly early so I had to move the car. The facilities in the room were OK and the shower was effective but the room and toilet were a bit tight for space so a bit difficult to open out and store your suitcases.

The room was very clean and owner was very helpful when I arrived early. It was nice to have a range of toiletries available for use. It was a twin room but I stayed by myself. It might be quite tight for 2. The breakfast service was very efficient and tasty.

I was in the downstairs bedroom and I could hear everyone that moved upstairs. It was also possible to hear the voices of others in the downstairs rooms. It was impossible to have an early night due to the noise of people coming and going. Also, it would have been easier to either include breakfast in price or accept a card payment.

Ballycastle is very convenient for Causeway coast. Room was nice and comfortable, very clean. House was fully booked, but was very quiet. In bathroom big towels, shower gel, shampoo and soap. Wi-fi good. Off street parking. Breakfast was lovely. Irene is very friendly and helpful. Thanks!

Pleasant stay, just what we needed.

Irene was a very friendly host. When she checked us in she recommended some bars in town for drinks and also for some other sights to see which we didn't know about, which was great. Breakfast was nice in the morning. Parking was off-street on the driveway, which was wide enough to ensure no one got blocked in. Private Ensuite bathroom. Good location to drive into Ballycastle. Good value for money.

Could do with a second pillow each as they were a tad flat.

Amazing Host, Delicous Breakfast - seaside break

Irene was the best host ever! The room was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. I slept well and the house was very quiet. Irene gave some great tips.

We had a lovely stay and would definitely consider using this place again if we're in the area.

The owner was friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable, the room was clean, we were able to park at the house, it was fairly convenient to the town centre, we could make tea and coffee when we wanted to, the wifi was good.

We had difficulty switching the TV on.
