It was an old house with lovely antique furniture and paintings. It had a lot of character. It was within easy reach by walking to the centre of town. The room was big and the bed was very comfortable. One of the staff ladies very kindly supplied my husband with a hot water bottle when he had a bad back. Yea and coffee and fruit cake was available in the drawing room.
The room was rather cold. We were told to use the overhead heater fan but it didn’t seem to work. When we had breakfast the first morning, we were not asked if we wanted to have a cooked breakfast, so we only had granola and then we were rather abandoned by the staff. After this, we made sure to ask for cooked breakfast at the beginning.

Very large, nice room. But it would have been better if the bathroom faucets worked, and the towel warmer stayed on. Also, there is a certain pretentiousness about the place and the staff. We stayed two nights and the room was not cleaned, although the towels were changed. Maybe call it snooty. It is especially noticeable at breakfast. Portions are quite small and the food, especially the waffles and scones are awful. For the price we expected more.

On a map it looks like you're a short walk from town, its about 2 minutes. Great location, staff was very friendly and my room was big. Breakfast made to order is a plus.
