The apartment is located in a convenient area close to shops and restaurants. It is spacious and the first floor outlook enjoys great views out across the canal from the kitchen sitting area. The beds were comfortable and we slept well.

The tapered return staircase was relatively tight and care was needed to walk up and down this (especially with suitcases).

The spacious room was very nice. We had 4 people staying at the property and it was perfect for us. The location was just outside of the busy downtown area, and which was also nice.

The air conditioning unit wasn’t secure in the window and very hard to keep it in place. We ran out of toilet paper and the supply room didn’t have any available. The couch was a pull out bed which was nice, but there was no extra bedding even if we wanted to use it.

The surcharge for "canal view" is definitely worth it. Together with the high ceilings, the atmosphere in the apartment is beautiful. It was clean in general, but we found residues of our predecessors under the easy chairs. Without paying the surcharge for a faster WiFi, we got a connection with 150 Mbps. The bathroom and the separate toilet are nicely decorated. Enough towels; additional stuff in a locker down the hallway. The location is very convenient (only a few steps from Haarlemmer Straat and the Jordaan quarter). The advised parking garage worked great (door opened by license plate reading or app, car was available 24/7, only 200m to walk and to drive from garage to apartment). Parking behind the building would cost 7 €/hour, so the garage (30€/day) is worth it. Door code and door opening by app is very useful.

The single beds are very narrow, our kids often bumped against the wall during the night. The mattress of the double bed was a bit outworn (or too soft in the first place). The baking oven did not work (light went on, timer counted down, temperature was set, child safety was off....but no heat at all) and there was no toaster, so we had to resort to the cooking zone. Very limited number of plates, bowls, and cutlery (no idea how six persons would survive in this apartment). Sofa and easy chairs were a bit worn off but okay. The a/c worked (all day), but was quite ineffective in the large room. The drive from the apartment to the garage was quite complicated and took like 2.4km, through the Jordaan quarter. On departure day, the door code and the app opener became inoperative exactly at 11.00 - as this was not announced before, this can cause an inconvenience if you still have to pick up some luggage. The KI assistant (reached by WhatsApp) was completely ineffective, whereas the human on-site staff might have been helpful.
