Absolutely lovely hosts .Very warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend. Hope to return.

This was a very convenient base for visiting nearby family. We loved how quaint and historic the immediate area was, and the garden in summer was beautiful with table tennis and a ball game for the kids to play. The barn itself was quiet and comfortable and had everything we needed, and we appreciated the organic milk and butter, and homemade treats provided on arrival.

This is probably only an issue if you want to pay from an international bank account, but it would have been hugely helpful if we could have paid by credit card. It took a long time to figure out how to do the international transfer and we had to pay both our bank fees and the local UK bank fees, including for the return of the damage deposit. They also request to have the beds stripped etc if possible, which made trying to get a family of four out the door early in the morning to catch our train a little more stressful than it would otherwise have been.

The cottage is perfectly located for a Bristol stay. Within walking distance a bus stop that takes you to town (a full day family travel ticket is good value for money). We were greeted with freshly made muffins!! The host family is so lovely. All critical items were available. Mother nature around us, with a number of animals spotted: a number of squirrels and a badger at night.

Not a problem - we were helped: our sons from the Netherlands are rather tall, so one crashed on the extra couch downstairs. Extra duvets were of course available. But, for tall people the beds could be a little short (I think they were 1.85m).
