Lovely but...

Lovely place, scenery and staff

Our couch was two leather two seaters, the whole time we were there they shedded bits, millions of bits,we had two toddlers with us so of course they tried to eat it so we spent the whole time sweeping it up. Also we stayed two nights, when booking there were only two bed apartments left, but when we got there it was a three bedroom but we had to pay for the third bedroom to be unlocked, ended up costing us alot more to do that and previously when it was showing three bedroom availability online it worked out alot cheaper

Great apartment and had the kitchen and living area to myself as other rooms weren't booked And the onsite shop was handy

No selection on normal drinks in shop and the receptionist had to take payments and then show me to my apartment this lead to others had to wait to the lady came back.

Fun family stay!

We had a 3 bed apartment for the 5 of us and it was perfect. We have 3 children. The sitting room and kitchen area was perfect for our needs and each room is en-suite . The staff who met us at reception were so helpful and walked us to our apartment and showed us around. We also used the shop and agin were met by a lovely staff member. The location is amazing with the beautiful scenery of the lakes and mountains. We had a night time walk along the lake edge. Overall it was a lovely stay and we would recommend.

Wouldn't stay here again

Clean apartments Some Tea bags, milk and sugar supplied on arrival. Nice lakeside walk on site where the kids went fishing. Secure and safe for children Rooms were basic but clean and spacious. 10 minute drive to sligo town. Fresh towels every day placed in our bathrooms. Bedding changed after 3 days. Shop on site open until midnight.

Staff seemed really miserable like they hated being there. Very unapproachable but did assist with some issues for us and quickly resolved. When explaining the rooms/keycards/ WiFi the staff member mumbled and was very difficult to understand. Appeared annoyed when we asked for her to repeat as we couldn't hear or understand. Use of key cards for each bedroom was annoying as we had 4 children who locked theirs in their bedroom also. Showers weren't great, either freezing or boiling hot. Not enough of a seating area in the sitting room to accommodate 8 people. Toaster handle was broken. Microwave and oven didn't work. We didn't raise this as an issue as the staff were so unapproachable. Had to ask for more pillows for all the beds as ours were paper thing. One bedroom was very musty and smelled like there had been a leak in the past. Obviously renting to families as a way to make money during the summer months by squeezing 8 family members into an apartment that would accommodate 4 students. Shop on site but not great- some produce not very fresh. Served a purpose as a base for us to explore Sligo but wouldn't stay again. Too expensive at 1,000euro for 4 nights. Honestly not worth it.

Views exceptional over lough Gill from apartment and lovely walking trails and grounds around property. Well equipped apartments and spacious and very clean.

Overpriced room with extremely tiny beds

The room was spacious and clean

They attempted to charge me twice for the room after paying for it through booking.com. When I informed the staff, she rang the owner who came down to discuss more. Within 5 seconds of the owner walking in, he said the payment went through. It all felt a little suspect.

Excellant apartments very clean tidy and excellant staff.

We booked this apartment as we were going to Sligo Rally. The property was very clean, tidy and spacious. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was no trouble to change one of our bedrooms to a twin instead of a double on arrival. Piping hot water for showers. It was very appreciated when we arrived in our appartment to find a fresh pint of milk in the fridge and a plate with biscuits. t-bags and sugar on it, and tea towels. We had an upstairs appartment and had a lovely view of Lough Gill. We did not have time to use the gym or any other facilities but we would definetely book these apartments again and hopefully for longer next time.

Beautiful location and a very reasonable price.

Everything about this place was excellent. We were met on arrival and taken quickly to our 3 bedroom apartment. The rooms were all very clean and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The towels were changed daily and the bedding every couple of days. A good shop on site with a variety of food products at reasonable prices. The view of the lake was beautiful and very relaxing to sit and look out at.

St. Angela's - Not To Be Overlooked

Communication prior to our stay was excellent via email. The location is 10mins drive outside of Sligo centre. However the views over the Lake side were absolutely breathtaking and we were on the ground floor. Second or third floor would be exceptional. Water sports activities were available at a charge but I think if you brought your own non motorised, Canoe, Paddleboard it would be free (but please do check). You can do your own laundry on site (chargeable), there is a Coffee shop/mini market (for essentials - you would not go hungry) on site, 08:00hrs to 22:00hrs. The apartments are well and truly fitted out with a full kitchen, oven, freezer, fridge hob, kettle. Importantly a flat screen TV with FTA Channels. For those with full E.V. there were ample charging points. There are very strict parking places and unauthorised area you can be wheel clamped (£75.00 release fee). Heating was excellent, as we were facing the lake it was really blustery outside but in our apartment we would never know, excellent double glazing. Wi-Fi was fantastic. Super fast and perfect around the accomodation. We would have no reservation about staying at St. Angela's again. The staff were very accommodating throughout.

I am being super critical which I do not want to be as we loved our accommodation. But for our room; One of the leather couches was in bad condition the leather was coming off the seating area. My wife would not sit on it. Bathroom: Mirror and the reflective area around the bottom edge was peeling off. A bit of fresh silicone around the sink is needed. Bedroom: pillows were very flat and there was only one per person. I am sure if we would of asked for more pillows house keeping would of brought them. It would of been nice to of had a TV in the bedroom. But let me say apart from the couch, this is being overly critical.

This was a beautiful place to stay, good kitchen and bathroom, a comfortable, spacious bedroom and gorgeous view!

The view over Lough Gill was fabulous from the third floor – very peaceful and private. Facilities were great, staff was very helpful, Edward gave us good info about the walks and lent us some hazel wood walking sticks.

Checking in took a little while, as there are several blocks of apartments, so you need to be guided to your room, parking is close by.

I didn’t realize that this was a school or college, but the apartment was wonderful. The view from the living room and bedrooms windows looked out on the lake. It was amazing and we wished we could stay longer.

We got a little lost on campus, but the host was very responsive and helped us find the reception area.
