Everything very warm welcome stored my luggage and put it to my room. As arrived before check hadcroom no 2 Everything was quality high end fabulous shower .Had a great fish and chips dinner which I was allowed to take to my room .The pub was heaving and busy as was Saturday night but once you enter bedrooms you hear nothing bliss slept like a baby .

Welcoming and helpful staff from the start of our stay which continued throughout. Comfortable room which was well appointed and maintained. Enjoyable food well prepared and good value for money. In a good location an easy walk into the town centre. Overall a lovely historic building which provides the best of what you would expect from a top pub in terms of atmosphere, food and drink and, a comfortable place to stay.
The only comment I would make is that as not being an early riser it would have been good if breakfast could be served to a little later time. This is a minor point which does not affect my high regard for the service provided.

Location close to where we wanted to be
We were 7 of us, staying a hotel to attend birthday party, I was with my partner other friends who were staying by themselves had much bigger rooms, we booked same time same price room, we thought why they didn’t give us bigger room for couple, we had no space to move between bed
Tap in bathroom was broken, shower head was not clean full of limescale, WiFi doesn’t work, same WiFi to pub and hotel rooms
