Nice accommodation, but car was vandalised in nearby area

Emilie was really friendly and responsive in all messages. We enjoyed the breakfast choice, very tasty. It was quite quiet and peaceful. We were able to park for free on the road, just needed to move the car by 9.30am.

We arrived late in the evening, and discovered our twin room had been made up as a double - with one bottom sheet and duvet. We separated the beds as best we could, but had hoped for two separate beds. I didn't contact Emilie as it was so late and I didn't want to disturb her. We drove to visit Bethune cemetery, nearby. The purpose of our visit was to see the grave of my great grandad from WW1. When we came back to our car, three panels had been scratched deliberately all along the side of the car. The other cars (without a UK sticker) were not scratched. It was the side of the car facing away from the road - there was no way this could have been accidental. The scratches were deep and fresh. Although not the fault of this B&B, I think worth mentioning about the safety of your vehicle in the nearby area.

Bethune

The accommodation was more than adequate for our needs. It was clean and furnished to a good standard. We required secure garage storage for overnight which was provided, at extra cost. The breakfast was a continental type and there was enough.

Although the rooms were well provided, self contained and comfortable there was no way of getting fresh air into the room as there were no windows. The weather was hot and therefore the accommodation required air conditioning or at least a fan.

Very comfortable and I felt welcome.

The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, especially the freshly prepared hot chocolate. The hosts, whom I'm assuming were husband and wife team, were very attentive and polite. They directed me to the centre ville for an evening meal which was excellent, and far exceeded my expectations (weekend stay). I couldn't have been happier staying there, as I could suit myself as to whatever hour to return as I had an after-hours key. I went to see my great-grandfather's grave (tomb) at a nearby village. He was killed on the Somme defending France in 1916.

Not much. Parking nearby may be difficult on weekdays, but there was no problem at all for me on the weekend. The host may be able to advise on the nearest parking station, if that is a consideration.

Hot tub was amazing after a long cycle.

Breakfast was APPALLING, I’ve never had such a paltry offering. I paid over €100 for two people, shared bed and the WORST Continental breakfast ever. Will put this to trip adviser also now.

Prima kamer, en badkamer.

Toch wel verwarrend bij binnenkomen. Eenmaal binnen geen instructie hoe aan de sleutel te komen. Die bleek in een kluisje te liggen. Welk kluisje is nergens aangegeven. De bril van het toilet lag los - heel vervelend. Minpuntje was dat er voor ons beiden nog slechts 1 onbijtplateau beschikbaar was. We hebben geprofiteerd van de restjes die anderen overlieten.

1ère nuit bien, 2ème nuit enfermés dehors…

Très bon emplacement. Chambre bien.

Un volet automatique de fermeture est actif entre minuit et 7h du matin. Ma femme et moi avant eu le malheur de rentrer d’une soirée après minuit et sans la deuxième clef car nous n’étions pas au courant de la “procédure de nuit”. Personne n’était en mesure de nous ouvrir et nous avons passé la nuit dans notre voiture…

Séjour court mais très sympa...

Nous avons apprécié le petit déjeuner, plutôt bien fourni et Emilie est au petit soin avec ses hôtes . Le côté convivial est très sympa, nous avons partagé le petit déjeuner avec d'autres personnes, c'était sympa. 🤓👍

Ce qui pourrait être amélioré c'est la pomme de douche de la chambre qui avait un petit souci de jet. C'est tout 🙂
