Very comfortable. Plenty of light during the day. Great lighting at night (with dimmers). Extraordinary air conditioner. Big shower. Comfortable bed (semi firm). Well-appointed kitchen with great pans and gadgets. Amazing balcony. Comes with a very convenient parking spot. We really loved it and would come back again. It’s close to the Waterfront, but you still need to walk at least 12-14 minutes. It’s a safe walk.

Everything was great but would have enjoyed a microwave. Nearest grocery store was 15-min walk.

The host met me on arrival and her kindness and attention were highly appreciated. The views from the balcony are really excellent and the security to enter and leave the Marina are top notch. I felt valued by the host and I felt safe and secure in the apartment. Access to the walkway along the canal was easy and breakfast at The Quarterdeck (a 6-minute walk) was lovely. The apartment was very spacious and had everything I needed down to a dishwasher and washing machine and dryer. I cannot fault the equipment and facilities.

The first night I slept with the sliding door open in the bedroom. This was not sensible as I was woken by people in the apartment below late at night as well as by mosquitoes. The following nights, I kept doors closed with the aircon on and that solved the mosquito and noise problem! For me, the pillows are a little lumpy and may need to be replaced. I would have loved bath sheets instead of standard size bath towels.

Das Apartement hat eine herrliche Lage; ganz nah zur Waterfront und trotzdem sehr ruhig, geradezu idyllisch. Die Ausstattung ist tadellos, der Blick herrlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und durch die (fast übermäßigen) Sicherheitsmaßnahmen absolut sicher. Auch der Weg in die City ist fußläufig und vermittelt sofort typisches Kapstadtflair.

Most importantly, as a solo female traveller, I felt 100% safe. The apartment complex is secure. Walking out of the apartment, you come to a gate that you need your room key card to get in and out of. From there you are on the path to the V&A restaurant and shopping area. This path is within V&A waterfront itself so essentially there is security surrounding the entire waterfront area, and CCTV. You are within V&A waterfront the entire time. In terms of the apartment it was spectacular! Extremely clean and everything is high quality. It is really beautiful. The photos are beautiful but they still don't do the apartment justice. The apartment is bigger than I imagined, and the views are beautiful. Janine was absolutely wonderful and looked after me very well. The personal greeting at the security gate upon arrival was much appreciated. I will 10000% be back. Thank you Janine!
