The property is gorgeous, we loved the old characteristics of the building and the thatched roof. We really felt relaxed and could unwind after lots of travel. It’s close by to stellenbosch town centre and the staff were lovely. The breakfast was excellent too.
Unfortunately the facilities in the building were not ideal. The toilet and shower are in the same room as the bed, only divided by a broken vanity screen. This is unhygienic and really doesn’t give any privacy at all. Other pieces of furniture broken or very tatty and needs replacing, including a blind which isn’t fit for purpose. We had to wait over 5mins for the shower to heat up, and the kettle plug is not long enough to reach the plug socket from the table so had to place on the floor. Although we got by for our stay, I wouldn’t have wanted to stay much longer.

Ants everywhere in the bathroom, over running the sink area and in our things and the one sink plug was closed when we arrived and couldn't open it but its newly renovated and still working out the kinks. We will be back for sure as it was nicely done
