Great food, friendly staff, excellent service, and a beautiful beach view.

The room privacy could be improved. In our initial room (409), guests staying in nearby rooms could easily see inside, which made us feel uncomfortable. We believe the hotel should consider improving the privacy of the rooms so that other guests cannot see into them. That said, the staff were very friendly, understanding, and helpful. They promptly assisted us by moving us to Room 805, which offered much better privacy. We sincerely appreciated their excellent service and willingness to resolve the issue.

We booked an overnight stay at Insight Hotel Ahangama for a group of 12 friends, and our only regret is that we didn’t stay another night. From the moment we checked in, the service was exceptional. Managing the arrival of 12 guests at once is no easy task, but the front desk team were incredibly patient, responsive, and welcoming, making the entire process seamless. The Food & Beverage team truly went above and beyond to make our final night in Sri Lanka unforgettable. A special thank you to Sujith Chaminda, F&B Executive, and the amazing team—Nadeesha, Malith, and Miyuru—for creating such a memorable evening. They arranged a private dining experience on the beach, complete with a delicious meal, BBQ and buffet, live music, and even welcomed us with a bonfire to start the night. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and their warmth and hospitality made us feel genuinely cared for. The team turned what was already a special trip into an unforgettable one, giving us the perfect way to end our holiday together. We can’t thank everyone at Insight Hotel Ahangama enough and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for outstanding service and genuine Sri Lankan hospitality. We hope to be back soon—and next time, we’ll definitely stay longer!

Well located on the beach, could walk to many of the other nice restaurants in the area. Staff were very attentive and always served with a smile.

Expected more from the breakfast buffet, cocktails could have been made a bit smoother.
