I visited off-season and enjoyed having the beach to myself most days. Love the breakfast provided by the hotel. The staff aka Uncle and Aunty and a treat! Sleep quality was also pretty good. Close enough to some of the more popular restaurants and bars close by.

The location of the hotel is super central in Ahangama, close to many amazing restaurants and bars. The room is super spacious and I love the simplicity of it. It was really hot while I was there and the AC and fan was effective in keeping me cool. Love the vintage Ceylon posters around the hotel. The rooftop is amazing, beautiful views and great place for breakfast. It was also great throughout the day when I wanted to read. The included breakfast is very yummy, but all western options.
Not that I didn't like it, but it's a smaller hotel with only 5 rooms. Sometimes walking back to the hotel at night was a bit dodgy as a solo traveler as there isn't much light. If you aren't a fan of dogs maybe not the best place to stay as there are a lot of resident dogs. I do feel like for the price paid there are better options, but I have nothing to complain about.

I liked the breakfast, restaurant views and location. The staff were super friendly and laid back too
There was no hot water for 3 days,which was very inconvenient. I was told it was going to be fixed, but it was never fixed. They did give me a 10% discount when I checked out, but I’d rather have checked in somewhere else as washing with cold water was very uncomfortable for me
