Great location, spacious and fully fitted out apartment

The Puerta Alameda Suites apartment is in a fantastic location and has everything we wanted - full kitchen, washing machine and fitness centre. It’s a large apartment so feels very much like an oasis in the middle of Mexico City

Spacious, fully fitted out apartment in an excellent location

This is a spacious, fully fitted out apartment in the middle of Mexico City - we enjoyed being able to use the kitchen and washing machine after a few weeks on the road. And the fitness centre is excellent

Great location but expect the very basics only.

Fantastic location, ideal for the meetings I was attending locally. Reasonably priced accommodation compared to hotels in the area. Useful having a washing machine.

Nothing like the photos! Apartment clean, but run down with broken tiles and flooring, and very basic facilities. Surrounding apartments noisy with a dog barking incessantly. No kettle or hairdryer, sheets were scratchy, towels threadbare and the cheap toilet paper was rough. A little extra effort would make such a difference! Even having a usb charging point would help. Sponge in kitchen sink was old and not very clean. Even supplying one portion of laundry power would be helpful instead of visitors having to buy a whole packet for one wash.

I liked the safety above all, and the location. I liked Odra who met me at the door, gave me the keys and door code. She also answered any question on the chat. And was always on time.

I found out that the suite didn't have a lot of sunlight.

Puerta Alameda stay

We liked the location and the accommodation. Very central location and accommodation was suitable for 5 of us. We also like the fact that Odra was very helpful especially when we hired a mobility scooter which of course we could not bring to the unit. She very kindly organized parking for the mobility scooter. It was good that she could speak English and we could understand one another. Odra helped us at checkout and even made sure that our transport would come and pick us up. It was also great to have met the owner of the property who asked us for feedback personally.

The beddings especially the pillows need to be replaced; it's as if we didn't have any pillows at all. And the towels have gone from white to dirty white and definitely need to be replaced. We were told that the trash would be collected every 2 pm. It wasn't collected on our 2nd day, probably because they know that we will be checking out the next day.

Everything!!!! My family has a wonderful time. We enjoyed all the amenities. The outside garden is a great place for family card games and conversation. Location is perfect. The apartment was exactly what we needed. Checkin and checkout was seamless.

The location is great. Across the road from the wonderful Museo de Artes Populares and lots of nice little cafes, restaurants and bars. And 15 mins walk from the Zócalo. The metro and metrobus are 10 mins walk away.

The walk to the metro is a bit hectic (very busy street to cross and lots of stoned punks around the station at night). The sofa was among the most uncomfortable I've ever sat in. The apartment has a good office chair but would have been nice to have a better desk. Also would have been nice to have a few more essentials (eg salt and pepper) in the kitchen.

Furniture was uncomfortable (couch was basically unusable). Dining chairs were also uncomfortable/ felt very poorly supported. The down elevator didn’t work the entire time I was there, which wasn’t a big deal as it is on the first floor, but certainly an inconvenience.

Overall it was a pleasant stay but don't expect a level of professionalism you'd get from a hotel

The folks who manage the apartment were really good. I would like to point out that on my return these people went above and beyond in making sure I got a safe ride back to the airport.

My biggest issue was with the people who manage the security of the building; they are not trained on how to conduct themselves, especially when you have tourists coming in from around the world.

Fabulous, clean and functional property.

Emanuel greeted us on our arrival (3:00 am) and was available to answer all questions via WhatsApp. Communication was fabulous. The property was clean and spacious.

Not recommended though expensive...

There is a lot of noise 24/7. There are a lot of dogs!!! The water pressure is terrible and the hot water runs out too quickly! The representatives are not there 24/7 so if there is a problem, you have to wait until the next day.

A great stay in a vibrant neighborhood of CDMX

The location of Puerta Alameda Suites is fantastic, in a vibrant neighborhood of Mexico City and in walking distance to cultural and historic sites like Bellas Artes, the Zócalo, Templo Mayor, artesanal markets, Barrio Chino; and in walking distance of a variety of restaurants, shops, the metro and buses. The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating--thank you to Bruce and Jon and their team. The apartment is in a 24/7 secure building and provided ample space for our family of four during our stay in Mexico City. The apartment is comfortable and clean. There is a mini mart in the apartment complex where you can buy some basic food items which is a plus. We would stay here again and would recommend this property to others.

Perfect location, a little worn.

Perfect location right next to the park. Windows looked out to the courtyard so it was quiet while allowing air and light. Plenty of restaurants, street food and live music on the street every day we were there. Tour busses stop about 1.5 blocks away. Safe with guards at the door. There were sufficient cooking and eating utensils for 2. Nice to have 2 fans, a heater, washer/drier extra blanket, hair drier, the basics. The bed was comfortable but I wouldn't want to sleep on the futon. We got a good price.

The apartment seemed kind of beat up. Everything was a little worn. Cold showers for half of our stay. No response when we asked for help, even en Español. We eventually got it to work. The hosts were very matter of fact and not very friendly though they said we could store our luggage there. The room was okay but didn't feel overly clean.

Great location for El Centro

We stayed at Puerta Alameda Suites 2 other times and would definately return. The location is excellent for visiting El Centro on foot and it's easy to get to the Chapultapec area by metrobus or uber. This 2 bedroom apartment was comfortable for 3 or 4 people - good seating, washer rand dryer in the apartment, good wifi. Communication was great before and during. They replaced a nonworking microwave for us immediately. Two full bathrooms - one in master bedroom, the other in the hallway opposite the bedroom.

The linens are washed with a very strong, perfumed laundry detergent that permeated the apartment. We washed all of our sheets and got rid of the smell. One reason we decided on this was the rooftop terrace, but didn't use it because there is no view; walls too high! Also, upon checkout, the person arrived 15 minutes later than arranged time. If you have to catch a plane or bus, allow extra time.
