Unfortunate experience, I would not recommend

The location was convenient

The room was uncomfortable with insects, no AC, exposed cables, very hard beds, no plates or kitchen supplies, and three flights of stairs with no elevator — not safe for children. The host demanded more money even after full payment and screamed at us in front of my 4 year old son. Booking.com confirmed we were in the right — I would not recommend this property.

The best element was the breakfast. We had to make our selection the previous evening and there was a good choice. The daily special was lovely- thick pancakes with honey and fresh fruit. The location is excellent.

A stone's throw from a classic Chateau.

We needed to check in early to have enough time to visit the Chateau Langeais and the staff were very accommodating. When we checked in, we were given a breakfast menu that we could check our preferences...very thoughtful. We were overwhelmed by the attention from what we thought was a Chambre d'Hôtes. The staff were attentive, available and made our stay memorable.

A winner!

Langeais seems to be a beautiful chateau town and Fleur de Lys is a short walk from the chateau. Only passing through so no time to explore the town, sadly. Charming host looked after us brilliantly. We were there during lockdown with no other visitors so it felt more like a visit to some friends than a chance booking. Bed very comfortable and spacious, and a good choice at breakfast. Strongly recommended. MLP

The lady was very friendly and give a warm welcome, came over to serve us breakfast. Thanks a lot to her.

We booked the loft (70m2). The owner could not be reached by phone and we waited 1 hour in front of the accommodation. Her sister then gave us a room. Reason the loft was being rebuilt?! We paid less and cooked outside with our camping equipment instead of in the loft. We got instead a standard double room with 13 m2, to small for a couple wir cycling equipment.

The girl who greeted us was lovely, very attentive and explained everything. The room is huge, lovely & bright! Comfy bed and great shower! Nice kitchen area!

The kitchen was not equipped well, we were so pleased to be able to cook for ourselves but it was difficult because of the lack of utensils, not even 2 tea cups or wine glasses! Required more pans, plates & crockery in general - such an easy fix though!
