Nevis, the owner of this guest house is a lovely, warm and caring lady. I really enjoyed my stay in Secer. Its clean, quiet and the beds are very comfortable. It is 5 mins walk to the centre, and 16 mins walk to the bus station to get the airport shuttle bus. I had a lovely time in glorious Split. I will be back Nevis, and thank you for everything. X

Great location & comfy bed

Location was amazing (5 minute walk to old town & 2 minutes to grocery store), shared bathroom was very very clean!! Bed was super comfortable & the air conditioning worked great. Overall felt safe. The owner was incredibly kind and offered us juice upon arrival!

No coffee, no water boiler (for you to make your own coffee or tea), no free filtered water. Cash payment only is a bummer. The entrance to the building is a little sketchy looking but it was safe and the surrounding area is a nice part of town.

The location was excellent and the facilities were spotlessly clean. The hostess was amazing and made us feel welcome and comfortable.

There were a few stairs to bring up luggage, though the owner offered to help. This would be for most properties in that area.

The host was so kind from the moment we met her, and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. I cannot say enough good things about the location— 5-10 minutes from just about everything you want to do in split and also near many bus stations. Room was very comfortable and everything was clean. I am already recommending Rooms Secer to my friends and family!

Overall really a great stay we would stay here again if we come back to split again

We came early in split and it was very hot that day. We requested the host if we could checkin early and the host made it possible for us. She is very sweet and kind. She recommended best restaurants where locals go and we had the best Dalmatian dishes on reasonable price. The house is also very close the city centre which is perfect. We would definitely visit again

Perfect for a short stay in Split, feeling like a local

A very good option if you like to stay in a private home in a residential area. The main tourists sights are just a short walk away. The owner is one of the kindest persons I have met during my travels. The bed was super comfy, the room and shared bathroom spotless. We would choose Rooms Šećer again the next time! Thank you!

Cosy, convenient stay

Wonderful, welcoming host. The shared bathroom wasn't an issue as there are two - both have a spacious shower and are spotless. Two fans in the bedroom make up for no AC :) The location is perfect for exploring Split.

Great location in the old town so everything is within walking distance. Fine large, quiet, clean room with comfortable bed. Bathroom was shared but just across the hall and I didn't see anyone else use it. Great host, very friendly and accommodating.

Lovely host, modern and comfortable stay, huge room, super clean, amazing location.

From start to finish, our stay at Rooms Secer far exceeded our expectations. The place is modern (especially the bathrooms!!) and looks way better than the photos. Our host was willing to help with everything, from helpful tips to letting us use some bowls from the kitchen when we had bought some cereal from the store (and she wouldn't let us wash any dishes ourselves because we were on vacation - such a sweet lady!). The room was huge. The bed was comfy. The view from the window was like something out of a travel brochure. We were worried about the lack of a/c because we were there during a heat wave, but if you left the windows open at night to let in the cool breeze, it felt heavenly (we also had two large fans). The location couldn't have been better - so central, but not down some alleyway either, so we had plenty of natural light and it wasn't noisy at all. There were 2 large grocery stores nearby. The city of Split itself was unique and had a definite wow factor. I've been to a lot of Roman cities already and spent tons of time in Malaga so I didn't expect to be that impressed but I definitely was. What a beautiful place. You won't regret it!

This is not about the property but just a tip for future travelers - if you are taking the city bus to Omis in the middle of the day in the summer, do not wait around the bus station for it. There is total gridlock there and it takes about an hour to go 300 meters. Instead, walk another 10-15 mins down the bus route past the station, and it will be a quick journey from that point.

Perfect center location

The room was quite big and comfortable. Everything seemed spotless. The bathrooms were a few steps from the room, and though shared, they were indeed very clean. The place is an old building, but the apartment looks recently modernized and refurbished. We only stayed for a night, but choose it because of the perfect and central location.

The apartment was a bit too hot inside, but it had a couple of fans to help with the temperature .

Very nice host, very comfortable stay. There are 2 bathrooms that everyone can use so it is rare to be waiting for a bathroom. And the bathrooms are so spacious and clean. Normally I really dislike shared bathrooms, but these were spotless and modern. Definitely would stay again!

This was my second stay in this accomodation after my last year's trip through Croatia. I liked it so much I decided to come back on my last day of my holidays as my flight back to Germany was leaving from Split. - It felt like coming home again, the owner is just so lovely and caring and down to earth - bedroom is superlarge and has super comfortable beds - the place is super central, just a short walk to the Old Town / Riva / bus / train station / marina - all in all the price you pay is more than fair for what you get, although it is in an old building (which I really like) it doesn't feel like as both the bedroom is newly furbished and the bathroom you share among the guests in this accommodation is very clean and new and has had the best shower on my whole trip through Bosnia and Croatia.

all was excellent, I had a great time and already look forward to coming back again on a future trip!
