Host- was ok
Room - looked like it was built during time of Christ. Needs massive updating
Shower smelled get clean towels every 4 days wtf?
Wifi was horrible no router they use a phone called Manet it cuts out all time it was horrible
Place dingy old no room between toilet and shower
BEST part kitchen right next to the bathroom. So u wash dishes right next bathroom. Whole layout was ridiculous made no sense.
For the $ way better places. Didnt enjoy at all.

Great “not so” little apartment with all you need for a stay in riomaggiore . Close to Main Street , harbour and station. Fantastic to have good outside space .
I’m not gonna put this in negatives , as the property can’t help being at the top of a hundred + steps (or a much more gentle slope if u choose the longer way round ) . The town is on s hillside . Steps are pretty unavoidable.
My wife was overjoyed at her daily step count
A little frayed around the edges .
Apartment set over 3 levels . Glass steps needed care ( after local wine/beer)

We had the two bedroom apartment with sea view, and the view from the terrace was lovely. The apartment was in a convenient location from the train, and had a washing machine.
You can't be in Riomaggiore without climbing steps; so be ready for a long flight of steps to get up to Via Sant'Antonio, then 8 steps from the door to the bedroom, and then 16 more steps to get up to the bathroom and kitchen.

Via Antonio Gramsci 19A is a tourist trap. I liked the view and the lady that recleaned after we complained about the state it was in.
I didn't like the 102 steep steps to the apartment. When we arrived, it looked like it was halfway through a renovation. There was plaster dust over everything. The fridge didn't work, and when I complained, I was ghosted and completely ignored. We needed to cook our own meals but could not keep anything cold.

Firstly I'd say anyone reading writing a review on an apartment in Riomaggiore needs to remember the unique nature of the village. It's built on a cliff!!. Hardly surprising there are steps both to get to the apartment and in the apartment, we were well advised of this on booking. The apartment we had has been done up well maybe a bit quirky but we liked it. Its comfortable and had all we needed for our 6 nights stay. The location is good and it has less steps than many of the numerous apartments in the village will have. We were met at the station and shown the way to the apartment which was nice. Towels were changed and bins emptied mid week. The apartment was lovely and warm as was the hot water. Wi fi works well as does whats app comms. with Antonela. A big plus for us staying in Riomaggiore is that if you get a train pass and ticket for Via del Amore you can walk the path there and back as often as you like. We found a restaurant in Manarolo which suited our needs and offered better value than we found in Riomaggiore. The walk is not to be missed and the train card offers great value allowing a visit to all 5 villages.
Nothing in the apartment took away from our enjoyment and memorable holiday, these are intended as constructive comments. Anotonel kindly showed us the way to the apartment and gave us lots of info. However pehaps as we are eldelrly and tired after a long journey it was hard to take it all in. A small file with important information would simplify things for everyone.
Very importantly the electricity tripped 1 night this left us in complete darkness, I had to whats app Antonela to find out where the reset swithches were. One is inside the other out on the steep stairs, you need a torch to be safe!!!. We are keen on seperating garbage for recycling, there are different bins but labels on each would be helpful.
The toilet deserves a mention. The shower is very good, getting to the toilet is a bit awkward. The toilet door is very low as is the ceiling once inside (6 feet), there is also a step down making it awkward. A bit like going into a cave. However bear in mind my opening statement.

It does get busy in the night with the bars and you could hear all the noise atleast till. Midnight and in the morning with all the suppliers stocking supplies for the restaurants

The room was a couple of minutes away from the train station! It is located in the main street however in the room we stayed we did not hear noises! The bed was very comfortable!
The a/c in our room did not work properly.

Amazing location, room as stated
Aircon didn’t work well - there is a big wardrobe in the way of the airflow so pointless being on

the location is absolutely fantastic! hopped off the train and it’s almost right there. The bed was extremely comfortable, very soft and cloud like.
I think the price is a bit too much for the place. i had a bit of trouble communicating with Antonella as it says on booking.com to contact her for arrival time and that check in is after 1400. I couldn’t reach her on the phone and arrived at 13:30 to which she advised was a late check in and I should of been talking to her through WhatsApp. there is no mention of that on the booking though.
when I met her in person she was extremely warm and welcoming though.

The location was great and she was very helpful with how to get there and giving us directions
We were a bit disappointed and confused that you have to pay a lot more to get a bigger room in order to get pots and pans to use in the kitchen, so this place would be more suitable for people who can afford to eat out as there were no bowls either and we had to make our food in bags

We were actually very dissapointed with this apartment. Pictures were showing totally different standard and rooms with nice, sea view. Our apartment was in front of another tall building plus there was scaffolding on our building and we couldnt even open the window nor the shutters- so it was dark in the whole apartment the whole day ;/ The kitchen was nasty, super old toster and other divices. Also it smells bad in the apartment. I think it needs to be refurbished. Definately too expensive for this standard!!!!

It was spacious, airy and very quirky. Very close to the busy Main Street and the train station.
We loved that it had a balcony overlooking the alley.
We loved the way it was furnished. It was very welcoming.
It has a fan, which we did need.
Nothing. However, the low “roof” above the toilet was a bit challenging for my tall husband.

Such a lovely, large apartment. Bed was comfortable and there was so much space overall. It was nice and quiet, even with the balcony door open at night. The host was extremely nice and accommodating. Highly recommend this apartment.

The location were it belong
the air conditioner was bad. It turns off automatically every 20-25 minutes. We put it in 16degrees but it feels like 27 degrees suddenly woke up because we were sweating. We tried to reach out with the caretaker/staff, but we she never replied or contact us back.
The free wifi was a scam.
The door knob was really hard to lock&unlock, it took us a lot of patience and time to open the door, what if there’s an emergency. What will happen 🫤

The location is great and the bed is really comfortable all and all it was a nice experience
the air condition is not working properly so that is something that could be worked on and also this is maybe funny but it was annoying and it is an easy fixable thing and that is the toilet seat…it goes left and right when you sit so you sit and it just goes on some side almost like you fall a litle bit so it is an anoting thing when it happens every day 🤣

Only steps away from the Main Street in Riomaggiore. Great apartment with ample storage and a wonderful shower, built into the old stone! Antonella met us with the keys and had great advice and was very thorough and helpful. The company also has wonderful tours. I highly recommend the afternoon boat tour. You’ll get a good history lesson of Cinque Terre as well as get a chance to stop and swim in beautiful open water.

We liked the apartment, good location in the town Main Street, next to shops and cafes. Spacious and comfortable, with a balcony with partial sea view. The apartment has all appliances a family need, it is very spacious, can accommodate up to 6 people I believe. I liked the fact that there were recycling bins inside.
Some utensils/appliances are old and there could be a balcony table. No air conditioning, just old fans with dust we did not use.
