OK.... but expensive for what it was

Breakfast was good freshly cooked and nice and hot. Choice of cold or hot foods.

Not their fault I know but there was a power cut that lasted about 1.5 hours ... no hot water in the shower the following morning. Bedroom windows didn't close properly and bed sagged in the middle. Our comments were listened to though.

The staff & the breakfast were amazing!

Sadly the room was very shabby and cold! from the broken blind at one window, marks on the carpet and just a general shabby feel the room could be amazing!

Lovely overnight stay with the hubbie, would highly recommend and we will definately book again

We had a lovely stay at Burford house Friday, when we arrived and entered the bar there was a roaring fire and a lovely atmosphere. Staff were vert welcoming and friendly, mentioned to us Happy Hour had just started if we would like to come for a drink after checking in. Room is lovely with a 4 poster bed and everything you need for an overnight stay. We also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, great quality freshly cooked. Burford is a lovely town with lots of shops/cafes within easy walking distance, well worth a visit

Really enjoyed our stay here . Very welcoming , breakfast was superb .

The only slight criticism would be the shower head was rusty so the water came out in a few directions. The shower door was also rusty at the bottom and come off it’s runners

hotel disappointingly tired and overpriced wont stay again, Burford itself a lovely place

bed was comfy breakfast was great, welcome was very pleasant

the bathroom was a health hazard as photos show, hot water was rare we only managed half a bath and one wash over a two night stay. on asking about hot water were told to run it longer or we could walk along to next room as their hot water was ok ??????. didnt do this as we had no bathrobes. saturdays breakfast host was a complete misery perhaps he should have a different career

Beautiful, quirky historic building. Huge room and bathroom, very comfortable bed and nice seating area. Wonderful bath and very spacious bathroom. Top of the building so also very quiet. Excellent breakfast and evening meal.

Not much hot water in the evening for the bath. Just a hand held shower over the bath for the morning wash, All manageable but with such a huge bathroom an additional standard shower would have been perfect.

Our room was just above the restaurant and the noise in our room picked up every conversation in the restaurant area at night. Luckily the restaurant closed at 11o/c.

Fantastic stay and sightseeing locally

The extremely old beams and quaint walls and features. It’s a quirky building built like 400 years ago with historical features.

We stayed with friends. The rooms need a little maintenance ie new bathroom floors as all tiles are cracked or friends tiles were loose. Maybe a new carpet in hallway and rooms upstairs. Apart from that I lived the place and would come again

Cleanliness in bathroom was shocking. Not a Deluxe room

Staff were friendly and provided great service both at breakfast & bat. Location on main street and close to free car park. Comfortable bed.

Cleanliness and need of refurbishment of complete bathroom. Tiled floor cracked & not cemented in place. Roll topbath had continually water leak staining bath so not usable. No plu available for basin. Shower has black mould. Toilet brush needs replacing. Lack of electric sockets meant kettle boiled across the room & hairdryer from same point with no available mirror. Could & should be lovely.

Perfect for 1 night stay as a base

Great location. Great price, ideal for a base for visiting Burford. Breakfast was delicious & very welcoming. Just a couple of things though…. It does need a little bit of tender love. Our room had lots of cobwebs, broken pictures on the wall, rotten windows that wouldn’t close properly & a wet patch on the floor by the bed.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS !!!!!

The only thing to like about this property was the pictures advertised online !!! Biggest scam ! Please do not fall for the charming pictures advertised online

Absolutely the most disgusting and filthy hotel we have ever stayed in. Me and my wife love the Cotswolds for the charm and character the building bring , hence why we chose this for our stay. However the pictures are a complete scam !! Look nothing like the rooms. We booked a room expecting a fee stand bath as advertised. Instead we walked into a separate shower and toilet which where beyond filthy and smelt and the bedroom full of mould and cracks and a bed that felt like a concrete slab with pillows that smelt of stale smoke and dirt. Unfortunately we checked in late or else we would have left and stayed somewhere else. It was that bad we couldn’t even use the shower facilities due the fact it was beyond filthy with bits of ? Sewage coming out to the shower The manger of this place needs to take responsibility instead of leaving staff there that cannot resolve this issue. The staff here are lovely but this does not solve that massive scam this place is portraying

The property’s facade is beautiful and the inside feels very traditional and cozy. The price was reasonable in comparison to other accommodation, but fair for what you got.

The rooms feel very old, tired and worn. A few things were broken in our room like the bath plug and the toilet not bolted to the floor. Our room was a double but was two single beds pushed together with a double mattress on top.

Problem with not being able to access the socket at bed side as there was only one inaccessible behind the headboard. Unable to open windows which were misted up. Noise disturbance from vehicles travelling outside on busy road during the night

The Room we stayed In needed revamping desperately. Bed was uncomfortable, bathroom wasn’t good at all. Mould and botched up repair work. Carpet wasn’t very clean. Pillows smelled and lumpy.

We were a large group staying at the hotel for my son’s wedding. The staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was lovely!

Great location in beautiful Cotswold village

Location was excellent and we had living room and kitchen in addition to the bedroom and bathroom

Small problems like tv remote didn’t work in living room. Some lights didn’t work so it was dark in the living room. No obvious way to turn on the heating so it was cold until the heating automatically came on at about 7pm
