They won't accept the credit card and take money in cash. The money is also taken from credit card (when making the reservation) and not returned. When you try to contact, neither booking.com nor The Quest House Ljubica won't answer.

It is very near the old city, just a short walking distance.
First of all, we have been told to pay strictly cash which was not mentioned on the website. Second, the place is managed by old lady, she is kind, nice and lovely to us but I think she is the one maintaining the property, it seems facilities are quite outdated. Budget wise it’s good for comfort and safety. Also, very walking distance to the old town.

Very hands off approuch, no trouble from the host,
bathroom window was missing but not a problem since it leads to indoors

It’s a good walk up the hill from the city center and it is about 20 minute walk but also on the bus line.
Room was nice and quiet with a couch and attached patio. It sounds like from the reviews all the rooms differ. We had a private bath with a window high up in the shower that opened to the patio. No one can see in and it didn’t bother us. It’s in a neighborhood with the locals and talked to a lady that lost her grandmother and mother in the war. The bed mattress was not firm and should be replaced soon. However we slept well and enjoyed our stay. The landlady was very nice. Overall a great value for the price. If you are picky pay more for something else. At the bottom of the hill is a wonderful restaurant that looks like a museum or government building. I wish I could remember the name but it’s worth finding. We had a 3 course 5 star meal for a reasonable price.
Could use a firmer mattress

The wi-fi worked. But for that I would have stayed home.
For 5 days, I received daily an email from the hotel to set an hour for the check-in (and I've done it). I was in the rain, 20 minutes after the agreed meeting hour) and no one was showing up to do my check-in. I waited in the terrace in front of the apartments (there were 2, so I stayed in the middle, and occasionally was looking inside of them (and getting inside them because of the rain), but there was no one to be seen. At 18h10 (40 minutes after the agreed meeting hour) a grumpy hateful woman opened the door and came out of a room, and so I discovered she was the host! From there it came downhill...
She was unapologetic, and made me feel very unwelcome.
Then, she told me I could only pay with cash. I explained to her that in the last days I received a message daily from the hotel, telling me that I can pay with a credit card. She said no, only cash. And insisted. And insisted. Thank God I had the money with me, or it would be a problem. I paid her in cash. Done.
Then happened the worst of the worst: I' ve reserved and paid a bedroom with a private bathroom. She gave me a bedroom with a shared bathroom (shared by at least 3 bedrooms). I told her that, and she started being arrogant, with
"-what's the problem?".
When I explained to her, she told me that I would be the only one using that bathroom. It would be bad enough, because it would not be a private bathroom (if someone else can use it, it's not a private bathroom, and it had already used towels in it, so it was obvious that someone else was using it), and of course, I've heard other people from other 2 bedrooms using the bathroom. So this is not what I reserved or pay!
And just for fun, the bedroom had 2 lamps, and not even one of them worked... 🙄
So, all in all, this was the worst experience I had in an hotel ever (and I've stayed in 100's of them). I will never recommend this one. This is a scam! Never again!

It was clean enough and fine for a bed to sleep in. Fridge plus kettle etc in rooms as well.
The entry to the property is really hard to find, plus the hosts are really hard to contact. You have to pay cash at the property but the hosts have your bank details and withhold the same amount from your bank account, essentially paying twice. The money was refunded back to us after 3 weeks which was a long time. The host was rude and unfriendly, yelling in my face when I questioned her about paying twice. Absolutely do not recommend to stay here, there would be far better places in Dubrovnik to stay. Photos of street/entry way incase you do stay here, as it took us so long to find this.

The location was quite convenient, as you have easy access to Old Town, the beach, and various other places. The host was helpful, and the room was clean
The wifi doesn't work at all, and the facility can be better if it wasn't on a discount price I don't think it worth to spend such money on this place

Owner was ok, room was as described. Furniture old, but functional.
BUT…
My previous review highlighting issues was deleted.
I was double charged, by owner in cash (which I was told by 3th party in email which is managing property) and card was only pre-authorised, but 2 days after check out, my card was fully charged.
Property denied that they have charged my card, which surprised as have messaged and statement w that. Now going through process of getting my money back

In general it's a nice place to stay, even if it's far from the city center. Still, quite close to a couple of nice beaches
When I arrived there was noone on the spot, the doors of two rooms were open. I've informed about my arrival time, but haven't received any confirmation. Then I tried to contact it through booking.com and text message, no reply. I had to call the phone number in the information, but it was some kind of a general call center, so there were no direct contacts with anyone like receptionist or the owner. It was very uncomfortable.
Then I waited and a lady came by, who wasn't very friendly, was cold and suspicious.
She first tried to put me in a room with a bathroom outside, and I booked one with a private bathroom. Had to ask to change it, she agreed. Overall my stay was fine, but I felt like I was not welcome there. Payment only in cash, even if in the infos it was cash or card.

The location is great! Only 23 minute walk to the Old town, and it’s a scenic route going to Old town as well.
The AC makes a really loud creaking sound which woke me up several times throughout the night. I tried telling it to the staff but I wasn’t able to communicate it well.

Comfortable bed, tea making facilities provided, walking distance to bus to Old Town.
Noise from other occupants as thin walls.

I loved the balcony just sitting out looking at the mountains. Also the air conditioning. Perfect spot between old town and new town 30 minutes each way and bus stops right around the corner
Our bathroom wasn’t attached to our room so we had to go across the hall where other guests could see us

Around 10-15 minutes by walk to the old town, very close to the shop and bus stop.
If I will back to Dubrovnik sometime, definitely I will choose this place one more time.

Very good price for a comfortable room with fridge, kettle, bathroom, good courtyard, all very good relative to the price.
While the location seems great in theory, it's in fact at the top of a very steep hill, which you have to think twice before descending, so it doesn't exactly feel like you're that close to town center. Staff speak very little English and communication was difficult, although they are indeed very nice.

The old lady in the house was nice. She allowed us to pay any time before check out.
No bill - the payment was by cash with just a handwritten piece of paper with my (misspelled) first name, and an amount in both euro and kunas. The room was dirty, and some stuff needed some maintenance.

My experience was pretty awful at the place. To begin with, it was confusing to have a third party deal with the reservation (that is, direct booker that will charge you more than agreed on Booking- they will have the excuse of different value of the money at the time) but it ended up being better than to deal with the lady of the house.
She came late to open the place forma us and did not even say “hey, sorry for the delay”, in fact, she was extremely rude to us and her attitude was as if we were bothering her. She quickly asked us for the money (more kunas than even those already charged by direct booker) and I explained that the money would be paid via booking, she became angry since she wanted cash, period, and said that she was sick and tired of that answer (?) and called direct booker so that “I would see that I was obligued to do so”.
In the end direct booker said I was right and she became even more angry and went outside to trim her toe nails… not nice.
The room was not very clean, the bed had some stains, there was no bathroom inside (when I had that search filter on), no TV…
To sum up…. I won’t go back again.

The wifi was great, we had AC which kept our room nice and cool, there was a great balcony off of our room with an amazing view. This is a great location if you are willing to walk everywhere. 20 minutes max to Old Town and 15 to the port.
We had a bathroom disconnected from our room and it was a shared balcony. It was all fine with us, but we were unaware of these things until we arrived. Still overall a great place to stay.

Host friendly and welcoming.
We spent one night in this accommodation in a private room and it was confortable and very clean.
The flat has all the basics for a nice stay.
The accommodation is right between the old town and the ferry port / bust station. There are local buses to connect to those locations which is a real plus.
