Scam Landlord

Mould in shower. Horrific policy of trying to squeeze extra money from customers for wanting to check in at a normal time. Scam landlords.

Well apointed appartment in a good location.

Good location for both the town and the university/arts centre with the apartment having lots of space and everything we needed. Didn't actually realise one of the rooms had an en suite so that was a bonus. Parking was also fine, busy, but we always got a space.

The check in instructions initially seemed a little complicated when received but were actually perfectly straightforward when we were on site.

The apartment itself is brilliant. Clean, modern and well furnished

Less about the property, but the check in time is extremely late. We came for one night with toddler and couldn’t check in until 6pm. Most properties I’ve stayed in around Aber are 3pm or sometimes earlier

Aberystwyth Trip

Fantastic location, safe and secure parking.

Flat is in need if a good refresh. Carpets are filthy from what can only be described as possible old social housing or immigration accomadation. The flat smells of curry and kitchen floor very greasy. Bathroom had mold around.bath, and shower curtain. Seating for patio was dangerous cheap. To top all this off the check in is not until 6pm if before you will ne charged £20 per hour. Same goes for check out at 10am.

Very spacious and clean.

6pm check in time is much later than anywhere else I've ever stayed. The fact that we were unable to check-in a couple of hours early when my husband became unwell was very upsetting. We had to park in a shopping centre car park so he could lay on the back seat - not a good memory. No toiletries in the bathrooms, even hand soap, was also disappointing.

NEVER AGAIN

The location

Me, my husband and are 2 year old arrived just before 10pm after travelling nearly 4 hrs to get there and was leaving in the morning The main bedrooms bed had missing slats and the remaining ones would drop down when you lied on it so me and my husband had to sleep in the other room which had a way smaller bed, the travel cot was on its way out to and took us a while to get up, the iron would leaked water when we tried to use it. The sofa had a big spring pushing up the seat so couldn't sit on it properly also we brought shopping to make breakfast but didnt end up making any as the toaster was broke and made the trip switch cut off all the electric in the kitchen everytime you plugged it in which we didn't realise till we had to leave so me n my family never ended up eating and had to eat out. This was a big inconvenience also wasted shopping When I spoke to someone about the problems the man was very unhelpful and had a don't care attitude just said he will take what I said and make sure it was sorted for the next person which I found rude, didnt even offer part refund or nothink for the inconvenience At £207 per night i was really disappointed and how my matter was dealt with

Couldn't get in before 1800 without paying more! Check out at 1000? No cloth for wiping down kitchen sides. Bed in main bedroom has a horrid soft uneven mattress which after 2 nights on it left me crippled.

A little disappointing compared with our previous four stays.

We've stayed here several times now, and like the position - its quiet but close to the centre of town and really easy to walk to the sea or the shops. There's a little park nearby with some nice green spaces. In the past we have also liked the overall smart feel of the apartment. It was clean and comfortable. Lots of hot water. Electrical equipment all functioning well. Free parking right outside.

It all feels a little tired now - needs some love and attention. There was nothing to wipe surfaces with in the kitchen, and I had to buy some cloths from Tesco. No bread knife (or it was hiding). Plates need to be replaced - they are clean but looking their age. Many implements were dirty - knives in the rack had bits of food on them. We put the whole lot through the dishwasher. Rack in the oven was also seriously dirty, and we had to clean it (with whatever we could find) before using. There was foil in the oven tray but it had been used before; we used it again, but there was none spare to replace it after our use. Overall, the kitchen needs a bit of a going-over and the cooking and prepping equipment checking and replacing where needed. Tiling in the bathroom also needs smartening up. Wifi stopped working on Sunday evening - switching the router off and on sorted it out.

location was good, apartment was clean.

Check in too late. Was after 6pm. Normally its after 3pm. Issue with bed as broken informed owner. Could have more chairs for use and a small table for the terrace. 4 staying and only 2 uncomfortable fold away chairs to use.

Very detailed instructions how to enter the apartment. Everything you needed for self catering. Comfortable beds and pillows. Welsh produce supporting local producers. Very detailed information pack and a number to contact the host if there was any issues to address. Free parking was a bonus.

The check in being 6pm but there was an option of an earlier check in time for an additional charge.

Great location, and facilities in a modern, well equipped apartment.

The apartment is in a great location for exploring Aberystwyth - only a few minutes walk down to the beach, or the other way into town with shops & services. Lots of room in both the bedrooms, and great to have one as an en-suite. Well-equipped kitchen, with Wifi, and a good TV. Had no trouble parking, which was always available right outside the block.

We had a pleasant stay enhanced by the good weather.

Ground floor, light and airy. Parking available. Easy access to Town centre on foot.

En suite bathroom in need of some TLC. No towel rail for bath towels, underfloor heating did not seem to work therefore cold. Underfloor heating throughout apartment inefficient leading to use of portable heaters. The kitchen had a shortage of crockery and glasses, negating the need for a dishwasher. No placemats for the table. No ice cube tray. Instruction booklet for washer/ drier would have been useful.

Cold and uninviting

Available parking in a secluded area, away from likely vandalism or break-in.

1800 check-in is ridiculous after a long journey you need toilet facilities. To then have to go food shopping that late is also a real pain as earlier you have no fridge access. The apartment was terribly cold all weekend and the thermostats did nothing. The hot water ran out on Saturday morning during a shower. The metal framed bed creaked and was noisy whenever turning over or moving in the bed. A 10am exit deadline was terrible, especially on a Sunday. None of the timing is advertised clearly (if at all) when booking.

Well equipped. En suite was locked on arrival and had to call the owner! Was informed that the shower was broken and it wasn’t fit for purpose. I had booked the apartment specifically because it was advertised with two bath/shower rooms. I was not offered a refund!

Great location to the beach and local attractions. 10 minute walk to railway attraction.

The apartment was clean, spacious and well lit. It had all the kitchen utensils and household facilities for a family.

I took a while for the underfloor heating to warm up the bedrooms but the landlord helped me to resolve this issue once I called him.

Everything in the property was of good quality and well maintained. Warm, light and airy, even in the dismal wet cold weather. Walked to sea front in 15mins and University in 20, happy bunny. Thank you!

Nothing comes to mind, maybe the ensuite shower to the main bedroom could be looked at. But not a biggy.

Good location. Easy access as on the ground floor. Spotlessly clean.

Bed was broken (we messaged the provider and they said they'd look into it but nothing happened) so didn't sleep particularly well. Check in should be earlier and later (at no additional charge) given how much cleaning the provider wants you to do prior to leaving. There should be two sets of keys for the property given that we were visiting with a friend and had to keep meeting up to swap who had the key.
