Loved everything about the property
I was cold the first night extra blanket and staff gave me a hot water bottle which was lovely and warm so it was sorted straight away

Really central, easy access, comfy bed!
The shower room was cold but to be fair I did stay in January!

Great location and building. Clean and unfussy room.
The only issue was that the bathroom was really cold so I couldn’t face having a shower. That’s the only reason I wouldn’t stay again.

no breakfast
Terrestrial TV not available.

It is a good location. The room is spacious. It is a good price.
There is no heating in the bathroom. It was like walking into a chiller cabinet. I couldn’t use the shower because I couldn’t get hot water to run consistently.
The WiFi or the TV are faulty because it kept losing its internet connection at least every hour.
The TV remote needs replacing- the batteries are held in with tape and the ok button only works once in every 4 attempts!
The curtains don’t draw properly. They either need tiebacks or the curtains put on loops.

Location was central
The place was dirty and reminded me of very poor quality student accommodation. I didn't feel comfortable enough to have a shower as all the electrics seemed a bit dodgy. The electric radiator blew and tripped out the electrics at 6 am on my last morning. I texted the number on the wall of the room to report this. Even though my stay was over two weeks ago, I still haven't received a reply.
The only interaction I had with any hotel staff was by text and this was minimal.
I can't stress strongly enough that you shouldn't stay here.

lovely room great location
would stay again next time im in Wales
was only the two of us but there was lots of space for more
lighting in the kitchen area wasn't the best the bulb is going and it makes it hard to see at night

Location is good, very central, just a few minutes walk from town centre, railway stations, castle and beaches (Could get good breakfast at the Wetherspoon pub attached to railway station). Parking near property can be tricky. On street parking is free if there is any available (I found a space within 100 metres of property and left car there for whole visit.)
Room a reasonable size with entrance lobby, lighting good, table and chairs in room as well as the bed. Bathroom large with large shower. Didn't use TV.
You could see a bit of the sea and edge of Castle from the room (see picture, very grey afternoon.)
Heating wasn't very efficient, although there was a supplementary heater available in the room. Vinyl floor in room not very warm surface, no heat source in bathroom

I liked the location, whilst I did not book the sea view the room was excellent enough to make up for that, felt quite homey in a way. Loved the added touches of plants and the shampoo and conditioner as well as the hot water bottle and hair dryer. The bed - while not what I typically sleep on - was comfortable enough that I slept the entire night, which is a rarity. Barely heard any noise from outside (and there’s a pub/club not too far away). I also really appreciated the chargers and plugs, etc. in the hallway entrance.
The shower stayed cold the entire time and I made sure to give it time to heat up, and also tried turning it different ways in case I had it on cold by accident. It never heated up and stayed cold unfortunately. The tv was a struggle to use - but thanks to instructions it worked - the audio on it however is very broken. The glass table was a bit wobbly so was too scared to put anything atop it incase it broke. Aside from that the room could’ve done with a carpet.

Lovely views, great location
Quite noisy due to the age of the property. You could hear lots of moving around the building.

Location was perfect for access to town and main amenities. Staff were very helpful, communication was terrific Will very kindly agreed to a later check out at our request. Unfortunately the only positive thing I can say about the room was the bed & mattress was comfy and clean.
Accommodation was awful radiator didn't work and was noisy the furnishings we're very poor standard. Windows were extremely draughty with a constant draught coming down through the chimney into the room. The toilet flush constantly created an air lock. It's a shame really I think the building has unfortunately suffered from its position so close to the sea and weather conditions at this time of year meant it reallywasn't fit for purpose.

Good location. Room was clean and tidy, bed comfortable.
Didn't see anyone during the visit. Room was cold as the radiator didn't produce any heat. Secondary plug in heater was provided but took ages to warm the room. One curtain rail held together with tape.
No heating in the bathroom.

I loved the sea view, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was nice and I liked that the tv had Netflix
I think I would have appreciated more kitchen appliances to allow for a proper meal to be cooked, but it was still good!

The money for this room had been spent on the mattress, which was great. Location good for the town. Excellent view of the castle.
The room was really old and run down but so was the building. I don't think the property has been maintained for years. The heater was rusty and the appliances old. The kettle was ok as we made tea. The shower required a mat as very slippy. A few health and safety issues here. An additional lobby had been built into the room but there wasn't a light but the main light switches for the room were contained here. This structure was very badly made and seems like an after thought. The door wasn't very secure. A shame that a once beautiful building has gone to ruin. Needs money spending on it urgently. Also the taps were the wrong way round or the tap tops have been put on the wrong way round. The hot is on the right and the cold on the left.
Just to make sure I looked up which way round they should be.
Info as follows:
The hot tap in a bathroom or kitchen sink is typically positioned on the left side. This convention is based on historical plumbing practices and is designed to assist individuals who are blind or have difficulty seeing to identify the correct tap. The cold tap is usually on the right side, and both taps are connected to the water distribution system so that hot water corresponds to the left side of the fittings. This arrangement helps prevent accidents, especially for vulnerable individuals.

Bathroom need update
6.0 / 10.0
The location was excellent, with beautiful views towards the castle and the sea. The property was warm and comfortable. It had everything that we needed for our few days in Aberystwyth.
It's an older property and there were a few minor faults, such as a loose kitchen tap, low shower pressure and difficult to set shower temperature. The exterior of the building is not as smart as some of the neighbouring houses, and the interior, although clean, could benefit from some updating.

The location of the property was great, really central, beach on the doorstep, lots of shops and bars close by. The property looks a little dated from outside, and could do with a little TLC, however it was good value for money, clean, and we enjoyed our stay.
Could just do with a little TLC. The shower ran hot to cold to hot to cold throughout a shower, but was fine for the length of time we were there.

Room old fashioned and tired and TV didn't work.

Good location. Comfortable bed.
This place is in great need of TLC and renovation. Very scruffy and while the basics were clean the whole building felt dirty. Window ledges black with age and dirt, peeling paint, dirty carpets. There wasn’t anywhere comfortable to sit. Luckily my son lives nearby so we used his shower as the one in our bathroom was inadequate. Altogether a miserable experience, I’m sorry to say.

Good position for town and castle
Very dated furniture, facilities. Desperately needs to be updated throughout.

Property is in a run down area. The door lock to my room was insecure, and a second sliding bolt did not work, and appeared to have been forced/broken. The room did not feel particularly safe and secure. The room itself was in a very poor state of repair, and not clean. At half past midnight someone was repeatedly and insistently ringing the front doorbell, and banging on the front door, for over 40 mins. As my room was right beside the front door this felt alarming, especially as the door lock was so flimsy.

Wonderful views over the castle and sea. Bed was comfortable.
Shower was terrible, difficult to keep water hot and the pressure was really low if you did as they instructed. Really needed a good clean and some work.

Long way up stairs, but then the crows nest was a delight. Could have stayed alk summer. Loved view and aberystwyth.
Nothing really.

The bed was comfortable.
It was very outdated. No fire safety as top floor with windows barely opening. The laminate flooring was bolted with screws which our crawling baby has hurt herself on.

the room was basic but it had everything I needed, including a table and chair, which is a huge bonus in my opinion. the room was spacious and I had my own bathroom. the bed was very comfortable. the shower worked well. The location was great
i liked it and would happily stay there again if I pass through Aberystwyth again

- Room was light and airy
- Really comfortable bed (if maybe a little high off the ground for us!)
- Lots of accessible power points
- Nice view of the castle
- Basic but decent kitchen amenities
- Shower was a little on the weak side
- Hot water in the sinks took an absolute age to arrive from the taps
- Sofa in the room was pretty tired and uncomfortable
- Really awkward to draw the curtains in the room - could do with polishing the poles a bit!
6.0 / 10.0
Very central. One minute away from the castle and promenade.
Room was okay. Bathroom was not so clean and except of the shower technique the bathroom seems to be 30 years old, or even more

The location was excellent, the bed was comfortable, and it was lovely to have a room that wasn't too hot. The room itself was spacious, and there was a lovely big shower in the ensuite. The check in arrangements were easy to follow, and the communication with the host was efficient and friendly before hand.
Unfortunately, the Wifi kept dropping out, as did the TV signal, though that may have been because of the very high wind, which made for a very noisy night, since the sash windows rattled constantly.
4.0 / 10.0
The location was the main attraction for the accommodation. The room was open plan.
The facilities were very basic and it could do with a good spring clean. There was a couple of blocks of timber under the bed. Not impressed with the overall accommodation.

Nice views from the top floor
Bedding was dirty on arrival - contested by the on-site manager but sheets were changed at my request.
Key wasn't available on arrival, I had changed the date on my booking so perhaps that wasn't communicated through, sorted within a few minutes anyway.
Hot water ran out during my short morning shower.
It's an old building so I expected uneven floors and lots of steps but the place isn't very clean - my feet were dirty from walking around the apartment.
4.0 / 10.0
The location was really convenient and it was nice to have a TV with Netflix on it as it rained a lot when we stayed so we ended up inside more than we thought.
The room we stayed in (family room w private bathroom) was filthy. The bedding wasn’t clean, we found fingernails all over the sofa bed. The bedding on the main bed smelled of other people’s sweat and the bedding which was in the cupboard was musty and damp, again this seemed like it hadn’t been washed from previous use. There are holes in the walls and plugs hanging out of extension blocks dangling loosely. The sink was hanging off the wall in the bathroom and there is a step up into the bathroom which is a huge trip hazard as it isn’t marked clearly. After showering I had to immediately cover my feet as the floor was covered in thick dust. I made the mistake of kneeling on the floor and ended up looking like I had been up a chimney. This room has either not been cleaned at all since a recent use or it’s been so long since the last visit that it needed a deep clean. I’m really shocked by the reviews saying the place was clean as this wasn’t our experience at all. Maybe we caught the place on an off day. We typically stay in budget hotels so aren’t fussy by any means and have stayed in some rough places but this place was seriously unclean.

Super clean and good location and very well priced
It's an old building and a little bit of wind rattled all the windows making it hard to sleep... the room is not finished well and the tv constantly lost Internet, which was an issue being a solo traveller.

The freedom to come and go at my own times as was supplied with a front door key.
Nice and quiet.
Hot water bottle was a nice touch, didn't use it but liked the idea.
Can't comment on the staff as didn't meet you but your correspondence has always been friendly, informative and helpful.
Initially difficult to find and couldn't park that close to the hotel.
Only coffee in room was sachets of 3 in 1 (coffee with creamer and sugar), not ideal for a strong coffee drinker who doesn't have sugar. Maybe just a couple of sachets of instant coffee would be good.
Found curtains difficult to close (and open), don't slide along the poles very easily.
Slip mat in shower might be an idea as I had a little skid as I was getting out.

Beautiful view of the castle ruins & the sea. The double bed was very comfortable.
Problems with the microwave, the plate didn't rotate as the clip underneath was broken. Luckily we didn't have to use it very often
