Boutique Hotel Nives - Luxury & Design in the Dolomites

Breakfast was amazing, great diversity in offering and it was difficult not to eat too much. The food displays were all very well done and tempting. We really looked forward to having a beer and some snacks at the end of our hikes at the bar located downstairs. Separate from the bar, the main restaurant is a bit on the higher end but the quality and service goes with it, with an interesting menu that includes home made pasta (I had to go back for the wonderful spaghettoni all’amatriciana), and for those that are into wine…the cellar alone is worth a detour. Our room was comfy and very quiet, bathroom was a decent size too. We didn’t try the spa/pool area. And…the staff across the board was excellent. Friendly but not too chatty, and very professional. We would love to go back, possibly in the winter this time.

There is nothing we didn’t like per say, but a couple of little things might be better known ahead of time: - The king size bed in our room was really two double beds tied together into a king size bed, with each side having its own individual cot (it was well done and it didn’t really bother us, and it looks like it’s common in certain hotels in Europe). - Didn’t look like the cook at breakfast knew the difference between “over/easy” and “over/hard” for fried eggs…so you might have to be more specific if you like them runny. Still, it’s a nice touch to get freshly made eggs any style with the already amazing breakfast spread. - There is no A/C in the rooms. On paper, that shouldn’t be an issue with the nights being cooler in the mountains, but with the recent heat wave in Europe it was noticeable (especially for North Americans) for a couple of nights. There was a Dyson floor fan in room which really helped on those nights, and you can always open the windows to get the fresh mountain breeze (there isn’t much going on at night outside, noise wise).

Amazing experience! We started our trip to Italy here and arrived on my birthday. They have a wonderful restaurant within the hotel and I had my birthday dinner in the private wine cellar! We also got massages the next day and the spa was lovely as well! Amazing and friendly staff - I have celiac disease and am allergic to gluten and I felt so taken care of! Every staff member seemed to be aware of my allergy without me even saying anything - it was so lovely to know I was safe to eat there. I even got my own gluten free cake for breakfast one day! Easy check in and check out. STUNNING views of the mountains from every room. Cute and clean room, the staff even decorated for my birthday (on request from my husband). Quiet hotel. Very walkable which was a huge plus for us because we came into town by bus and the bus stop was right across the street. It was our favorite hotel and favorite stay on our whole trip to Italy!

Nothing! It was amazing.

Great location in Selva. The hotel is very upscale with only 14 rooms. The rooms are large and offer king size bed, Tv, sitting area, bar fridge, and a large bathroom with a tub. The hotel has a private lounge and breakfast area for guests as well as a restaurant on the ground level that is open to the public. We arrived by car and parking is available (free for guests) onsite in an underground garage. They have a shuttle to take you to the ski lifts and you are able to ski back to the hotel on a gentle trail from the bottom of the Dantercëpies lift.

Nothing it was fantastic. We didn’t have time to use the spa because we skied so much!

Excellent breakfast - I was even served my own GF warm bread roll and a home made piece of cake, which was a lovely touch. Lovely hotel, very well managed and looked after. Staff were extremely helpful and responive.

The reviews for the restaurant were very mixed, so we didn't end up eating there, so can't comment on that.
