Hotel Genziana

Absolutely amazing in every aspect. The food, the facilities, the staff, and the location was excellent.

My wife is vegetarian. Although there was a good selection on the antipasti buffet, a vegetarian starter option was not always available. Plus, no English channels on TV.

It was very conveniently located, breakfast was great, staff very friendly, very peaceful.

I had to ask for a kettle, even though they had advertised there was one in the room, they sorted it quickly, but then never took the dirty cups away. If you are staying in the hotel you can obtain a free bus pass to use whilst staying. The hotel reception never told us thus, we found out the info from tourism office, when we asked at the hotel, they then issued, but had we not been to the tourism office we would not have known. Both only small things.

Hem gaudit d’una estada excel·lent. El menú del sopar era molt variat i de gran qualitat, i l’esmorzar també molt complet. El personal, especialment els cambrers, ha estat molt amable i atent en tot moment. La ubicació és molt bona, a només uns 15 minuts d’Ortisei, i l’hotel ofereix targeta per busos, la millor opció per moure’ per la zona sense preocupar-se del cotxe. També disposa d’aparcament cobert. Les habitacions són còmodes i ideals per descansar després d’un dia d’excursions. La zona de benestar és un altre dels punts forts, amb una piscina molt agradable, sauna seca i bany de vapor, perfectes per relaxar-se. La Selva di Gardena és un poble molt ben situat, amb tots els serveis necessaris i una excel·lent base per accedir als telecabines i a rutes de senderisme o llogar bicicletes.

sincerament, no hem trobat cap aspecte destacable a millorar. És un hotel totalment recomanable i hi tornaríem sense dubtar-ho.

Location in the village, participation on the area program for free bus passes

We booked the superior double room - when we got there we were given an older looking room (if you scroll all the way to the last pictures, that’s it). The staff was amenable to change our room to the one that looks like the pictures on booking.com (with the point that we were lucky there was one free and that we should have specified, in the messages, which type of superior room we wanted). The bathroom is old & both the room and bathroom have subpar ventilation: in the morning we could see humidity on the windows and it got to the point that it was on the floor under the windows too - my luggage got wet and it was slippery; the bathroom door has water/humidity damage on the bottom. There was humidity from the spa area in the common rooms as well - there was that particular smell of swimming pool disinfectant as we were going to our room (which was 3 floors away from the spa). Although we asked the front desk several times to remind the cleaning staff that if the “do not disturb” sign is on the door that they shouldn’t come in, they repeatedly entered the room to tidy up - i understand it’s their property and they can enter at any time but one day they even came twice - moved my pijama in one place the first time, then moved it again. The breakfast was average though it was a nice touch to choose your egg preparation. Coffee was disappointing, especially being in Italy. The parking is inaccessible from the hotel itself though it’s very close and you get your own spot and remote control for the gate but it can be annoying.
