The location is absolutely stunning. We visited in winter, and unfortunately the weather didn’t allow us to go trekking in the surrounding area, but we would love to come back in summer to fully enjoy it.
The rooms are comfortable and well maintained, and the staff is polite and welcoming. The restaurant is cozy and thoughtfully designed. The food was good, although not exceptional. It’s not the best value for money, but considering the overall experience, it’s acceptable. Portions are on the smaller side.
I would highly recommend arranging a car transfer from the train station. The horse ride can be quite long and uncomfortable, especially in winter temperatures.

It is a beautiful hotel in the middle of a valley. You are away from any civilization in a stunning area. The rooms were comfortable and the shared bathroom and toilet were clean and well looked after. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the breakfast spread was very nice.
It would have been great to have access to hot water in the evening to make a drink. The latest free shuttle service was 5pm which is more than fine but the basic amenity of a kettle would have made it a little more comfortable in the evening.

Wonderful location, very friendly staff. We were four people and we had a shared room only for us, so we didn’t need to share it with anyone else.
More private rooms would be perfect

Rooms were very cozy and the bed was great. Bathroom has floor heating which is a big plus!
Breakfast was so-so. Very minimal spread but enough to satisfy your hunger. At least they had an omelet station - which I appreciated.
The Cake buffet during the afternoons was very delicious. A must-try!
Pillows too soft, did not sleep well, neck ache.- would have appreciated if there were harder ones with memory foam.
Restaurant menu choices for lunch/dinner is quite limited and a bit pricey. They also had a canteen that served snacks like currywurst or pommes, but did not get to try that.

Our stay at the hotel started well — we were welcomed kindly and the location is truly beautiful. I would especially like to thank Mr. José and Mr. Daniel for their kindness and professionalism throughout our stay.
However, our experience was seriously affected by a very unpleasant incident. Around 11 p.m., loud music could be clearly heard in our room, making it impossible to rest. The noise lasted long enough that I went to the reception to ask for help, but there was no staff member there. I waited without any assistance and returned to the room, still unable to sleep for a long period. Our group had been awake since 6:00 a.m., and after a long day of traveling we simply wanted to rest.
The next morning, when I reported the situation at checkout, I received a brief apology but no explanation for what had happened.
Before posting my review here, I wrote an email to the hotel manager asking for some answers, but they have not responded in 24 hours period.
For a hotel of this category, this kind of disturbance and lack of support is unacceptable. Unfortunately, this situation had a negative impact on what could have been an excellent stay.

Wonderful location. Food was ok.
Given the standard of the rooms, it seemed too expensive. Extremely busy place.

Together with my young daughter, we hiked from Murtèl to the hotel. We enjoyed an amazing dinner, everyone was extremely friendly, and we were surrounded by mountains on all sides. What more could one wish for?

Absolutely astonishing location, good wifi, very nice staff. Good hiking possibilities and in the evening it is very quiet.
The emergency exit on the lower floor (near room 103) seemed to be locked or closed, I couldn't open it, not even with my key.

The location was superior, on a nature reserve with lots of outdoor options. Free shuttle service from train. Good communication prior to our arrival. Excellent restaurants for evening meals and included breakfast buffet. We chose a more simple room which was clean and simple which met our expectations and needs. The staff was exceptional.

the location is wonderful for a weekend surrounded by nature and away from the hassle and bustle.
Lovely long walk to the hotel and back, it was also great to walk in its surroundings after breakfast before heading back. Perfect for one night stay.
The restaurant has a nice “á la carte menu” for the evening.
breakfast was good.

great location and great staff at the restaurant for
dinner
We had a negative experience at breakfast where waiters were very rude and hurried us to clear table despite the breakfast was closing 15 minutes later.

Wolfgang and the crew were fantastic hosts. It would be worth it just for the view alone. Tucked neatly in the valley you’ll find wonderful mountain views, both at daytime, and at night under the light of the moon. If you’re a fan of walking under the stars or hiking, this is a fantastic place to stay! Just make sure to book a car to and from Pontresina or St.Moritz in advance and you’ll have no problems getting to wherever you need to go
would have preferred a single bed rather than two twin beds, However, maybe we should have asked that beforehand

Amazing experience, beautiful views, comfortable beds, lovely walking trails, gorgeous outdoor seating area, lovely staff. all of it. All 3 meals were lovely. our waiter was excellent and the food was really good. It was a Christmas we will never forget. Highly recommend taking the horse carriage one way if the weather is clear. It was so magical being able to slowly take in the scenery. And the shuttle was perfect for us to catch our train in the morning. Driver was very kind and safe. The town on arrival was beautiful.
We are dog lovers but not pet friendly hotel lovers. any dog will bark when left alone in a strange place. This wasn’t the hotels fault - but there were smokers in the room next to us so the halls smelled like smoke. we alerted the staff but not sure anything was done. The restaurant was expensive. Dinner for 5 cost more than either hotel room. But honestly it was that way everywhere in Switzerland.

i booked 2 rooms and I didn’t use one room cause the family room is enough for us. we haven’t pay and cancel the single room and they didn’t allow us although we already returned back the key.

Beautiful nature around
Convenient accommodation for trekking
Suitable for overnight, stopover and for day visitors too
Mountain view from the windows
New big and very clean bathroom
Tasty dinner and wine in the restaurant
Big selection for breakfast
Freshly made scrambled eggs right in front of you
Staff speaking several languages
We stayed in the suite, which was very cute. It supposes to accomode up two four people, but I honestly think it is for two people max. The other two have to sleep on a sofa. If 4 people would want to sit and chat or watch TV, only two people fit to sit on the sofa.
It is an atica located suite, so there is not much space to get into the bed on the left side of the bed.
There were furry stools instead of normal night tables next to the bed.
The reading light above the sofa was broken.
Dogs were allowed anywhere into the restaurant and breakfast room.
Val Roseg supposes to be a car free valley. I guess this rule applies only for certain visitors. There is still this hotel shuttle for guests and bikes and we counted like 18 cars parked at the hotel, I assume the hotel staff and hunters are allowed to drive in as well.
For some reason while booking the hotel we didn't have an option to "pay at the property" and had to pay in advance while doing the reservation. Unfortunately there was some misunderstanding between booking.com and the property and the hotel wanted us to pay again upon check out. It took quite some while to sort this out and we even didn't receive a single apology for this inconvenience.

For a room with shared bathroom, it was very nice to have the bathroom directly opposite the room, as close as you can get to having a private bathroom. Very clean, friendly staff, the surroundings are beyond spectacular.

All the food was excellent! Staff very friendly. :) The nature around is a dream. We were happy with everything 😀
Our shower cover was not that good and the water from shower went on the floor. But we wiped it and it was ok.

Very modern and clean accommodation in a fantastic location
Was a bit disappointed with staff and friendliness when I arrived. I arrived around lunch time and to be fair, earlier than my check in time. They are super busy at lunch times. Lots of visitors, so I understand that the staff was stressed. But I had to wait for quite some time, trying to get an attention of several waiters just to be able to get a table, simply standing at the restaurant area inside. When I finally managed to catch someone, they didn't allow me to have an earlier check in (I arrived around 1 hour earlier) and also told me without checking that I cannot sit outside but only inside as they are too busy. I left for a short hike and returned in ca 2 hours. A way much less people, so I just got a table outside without asking this time. And again long and long wait for anyone to even acknowledge my table.
Service in the evening for dinner was super nice though.

Staying here is all about the location. Great views, scenic walks and peace and quiet.
Getting a bit dated but the unique location more than makes up for this.
