Edinburgh Central Accommodation

The accommodation is excellent and staff always really helpful. There are food options for all including self catering and the breakfast is great. The decor is lovely and there was a bonus of being a Fringe venue this year. Transport was affected by trams being diverted but buses were perfectly fine. Such a great option. Not luxury as the high scores may suggest. If you want somewhere to relax in your room this may not offer what you need. Rooms are basic but functional. I love it and will always return.

Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Room was clean.

There was a constant background hum in the room (heating or air-conditioning) which made it difficult to get to sleep the first night.

The common areas were nice, with big windows, many tables, and some board games and the bar was almost always opened. Not a great number of options for breakfast, but still ok especially for a few days. The common kitchen was quite tidy (but no clean towels were available) and good to cook in multiple groups. The staff was nice and helpful. The location was not far from the city center, we always walked there and to the train station. Useful that you can leave the luggage before and/or after checkin in/out.

We had a family room for 6, with 3 bunk beds. The room was very small, and it was not possible to stay in the room, unless staying in the bed. The shower was difficult to regulate and used a lot of water to reach a decent temperature. The moquette in the room didn't look very clean (I know, it's the UK). Considering the accomodation it wasn't very cheap, but still a good option for a few days.
