Location is fantastic. Staff friendly. Minus - towel only issued upon checkin and we are not allowed to make a change sadly. Given Summer weather, i hope they change this policy or charge like 1 pound than 5 for new towel exchange.

I stayed at Destiny Student – Shrubhill for more than a week, and I had an excellent experience.
The room was exceptionally clean, modern, and comfortable, with a private bathroom and shower. One of the biggest advantages is the shared kitchen, which is shared between only five rooms. It is fully equipped, making it easy to cook your own meals and save a significant amount of money during your stay.
The staff were outstanding. I accidentally extended my reservation at another branch of the same company, and they went above and beyond to help me stay in my original room without any hassle. Their kindness and professionalism made a huge difference.
The property also offers paid laundry facilities (around €5 per wash) and a free games room, which is a nice bonus.
The location is fantastic—close to the city center, within easy reach of Edinburgh’s main attractions, and well connected by public transport. There is also a Lidl supermarket, several cafés, and other supermarkets just a short walk away, making it extremely convenient.
Overall, I highly recommend Destiny Student – Shrubhill. It offers excellent value for money, great facilities, an unbeatable location, and some of the friendliest staff I have encountered. I would definitely stay here again.

If you just need a place to sleep and keep your stuff while exploring Edinburgh, this should do you fine. Easy access to public transit, walkable enough to all the main sites, and in a fairly safe neighborhood.
