We had a fab trip to Repton. The boot was a very welcoming and friendly place to stay, with great food and drink and a lovely atmosphere

Our room was clean, comfortable and very well decorated. Breakfast was excellent.
The dinner menu was somewhat limited and a tad expensive. Our evening was disturbed due to a live band in the pub which we weren’t notified of - it we had have we could have planned our day differently.

I am afraid I am a very disappointed customer of this hotel last night as I was standing on the road waiting for someone to check in but no joy
Booked months ago and confirmed with payment a week ago that I would definitely check in. Left a message to inform I will arrive late due to work commitments but when I arrived there was no staff or openings to check in, I had my colleagues worried and phone around to find me a last minute
rescue hotel to spend the night on 29 Jan.
I called up the next day at 8am to enquire & resolve this issue, NO ONE picked up the phone at all.

Everything! Fabulous room, lovely, helpful staff, great breakfast. Situated in a very quaint village. Perfect!
I am being very honest, but we were initially in room 3. The bar area was directly beneath, and it was a bit noisy. In fairness, it was the day before New Years Eve, so it was busy.

We’ve stayed here a few times and like it. Rooms are nicely decorated and quiet at night.
There are two pubs in the village and the food is much better at this one. Easy parking. Pleasant staff. Good breakfast.
Rather strange breakfast pricing whereby for example, if you order extra bacon there is a charge, but if you delete items (I dislike baked beans and hash browns) there is no credit. I think some substitution should be allowed.

Staff were super friendly and the food was delicious
I wanted to watch more TV channels that appeared to be available on the TV but couldn’t get online to access them - to be fair, I could have asked staff for help but didn’t

Fantstic room - so cosy and well supplied and fitted out. Very tasteful. Delightful staff - they really could not be more helpful. To top it all an amazing supper at The Dragon and very very good breakfast. My compliments to the chef and thanks to all.

Location was perfect for what we were after. Pub itself is lovely, tastefully decorated and makes an impact as you walk in. Staff were helpful and attentive.
Our room overlooked the back of the hotel, with no external noise. The room was tastefully decorated, warm and the bed very comfortable. We had everything we needed and a voucher for a complimentary drink left in the room which was a lovely touch. Fresh milk was available on request. The room was clean although there were areas in the bathroom which could do with a little attention/deep clean but nothing to take away from a great stay.
Food in the pub was exceptional on the Sunday evening and it had been prearranged for us to have the included breakfast in their sister pub 5 minutes away as the pub was closed on the Monday morning following our stay.
Nothing we didn’t like.

Lovely boutique style pub in the middle of Repton. We often struggle to find good accommodation in the Burton area and were pleased to find the Boot Inn. This is a lovely gastro pub with a good number of rooms for overnight accommodation. We were able to park at the rear of the pub which was very convenient. The team at the pub gave us a good welcome and were very helpful.
Our room was on the top floor and was clean and quiet. There was a large comfortable double bed. The bathroom was small but fine for an overnight stay. The WiFi worked really well.
We had dinner and breakfast int he pub which was a great experience with excellent service and food. The team accommodated a late checkout so that I could have a quiet spot for a work related Zoom call in the morning. We will definitely stay again when we are next in the area to visit our daughter.
Everything was good, my only small comment is that the shower could do with a little modernisation to give a better experience.

Great staff & the room in this quirky, wonderful, property was on the top floor. A great size room, small but adequate bathroom with extras such as ironing board/iron, coffee machine & tea making facility. Free parking was available to the side of the property. Dinner was fantastic with great service - included a 3 course set menu as well. The bed was very comfortable & even though we were woken from traffic noise, it’s understandable as the single glazed windows in this old building would not suit a double glazed plastic alternative. Breakfast was also excellent, once again served with a smile!

Beautiful and well equipped room, great food and really lovely staff.
Minor gripe - some of the grouting in the bathroom could do with a clean and the mattress was a bit too soft for us but apart from that it was perfect!

Great location in the middle of Repton. Very close to the school. Lovely atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. We had dinner on Saturday and Sunday, the food was very good. Staff were very friendly. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast cooked to order. Wide selection. Full Breakfast's coverage is on the first morning, pancakes the second morning. Both cooked beautifully.
I hope we can find a reason to return to Repton for another weekend break at the Boot.
In a cosy bathroom the towel rail was too hot, an accidental brush against it made you jump.

Great location, great food, very friendly staff and atmosphere. It has a lively atmosphere in the evenings with many locals using the pub not just to drink, the food is excellent and the restaurant area busy. Service was excellent and the room very clean and comfortable.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant menu was extensive and although the food and wine of a high quality we found the prices to be on the high side. The room (no 11) was very comfortable and well appointed.
We were woken at 6.15am by the loud noise of the dustbins and empty barrels being put out for collection.
The toilet seat in our bathroom was very lose.

The staff
The Boot Inn is fine for a pub with rooms above, but it doesn’t live up to the standard suggested by its pricing. I paid £120 for a night with breakfast included, but the “discounted” price was shown as being reduced from around £180—implying a much higher quality of accommodation than what was actually provided.
The room itself was disappointing: the mattress was worn out, the bathroom was very small, and the sink was so tiny it felt impractical. The promotional photos of the rooms were quite misleading compared to the reality.
On the positive side, the pub and bar area were pleasant, but I was surprised to find they no longer stock sugar-free mixers—a real drawback for anyone who can’t (or doesn’t want to) drink sugary options.
Overall, while acceptable as a basic stay, the value for money just wasn’t there
