A room like a movie scene

It's just a special place, like a movie scene. The owner is an "original person" :) so it was great to talk and listen to him. The owner's shop is very authentic. It was nice to have a little balcony.

There was no soap for hand washing.

Basicly everyfhing was very well taken care of. At arrival tne host gave us some.info and tips of the local area. The host in general was very nice guy. Breakfast was varied every day. The room and.bathroom were clean and comfortable.The 1930s Paris theme was well done All in all very happy with our stay at this b&b.

The only gripe we had was the charge of 25 euros to make up the bed as two singles. To be fair was in very small print which I didn't see until after I'd booked and paid for it and then received an email in large print telling us of this and we couldn't then cancel. Left a bit of a bad taste to be honest. Should have been made very clear in the pricing structure. Nobody else on our trip charged this.

Chris went out of his way to assist with our needs. Breakfast was a wonderful spread, even customized! Very centrally located in Turnhout. Highly recommend this B&B.

Very nice french theme, comfy bed, very helpful owner, international appliance plugs at the bathroom for things like shaving machines (us and UK).

Please beware that no shampoo or body gel is provided, but there's hand wash gel.

Lovely stay, romantic place.

The rooms has a nice Paris theme. The roof terrace at the back of the building is a really lovely and chill place to sit. The location is in the city center, with a cheap parking lot closeby.

The TV on the room is that old, that it had no HDMI port for my Roku. Which meant we could only watch the TV channels, but the remote of the digibox wasn't working well either. (this is just minor issue though)

Where do I start? Overwhelm- yes I guess that’s a good way to begin! As soon as we entered a streaming course of old distant memories started running wildly through my head!- comforting things to recall- familiar smells filled my nostrils: bringing up a hint of nostalgia, a wistful desire, a sentimental yearning for the happiness of a former place in a distant time. The beauty of the place, the hospitality, the detonation of smells, wafted into my consciousness and colored my thoughts with memories of myrtle mad augusts, sugary vapors and the repertoire of a far and old connection! We will be back! Thank you so much!

Perfect.

Vriendelijke ontvangst, kreeg een plattegrond en veel informatie over de bezienswaardigheden van Turnhout. Leuke kamer stijl jaren 30, bed was goed. Prima ontbijt. Betaald parkeren op een groot parkeerterrein in de naaste omgeving. Als ik nog eens naar Turnhout kom neem ik zeker weer deze B&B.

Alles gut und sauber!

Schwer zu finden, habe etwas länger vor der Haustür gestanden, sodass ich nicht ins Hotel kam. Erst nach längerer Zeit öffnete jemand die Tür.

Vriendelijke onthaal maar geen aanrader. Of moet de prijs gehalveerd worden.

Uitbater was vriendelijk. Liet het toe om ons brommer binnen te zetten. Gaf ons uitleg over de mogelijkheden in de stad.

Geen mooie locatie, geen tuin, verouderde pand, nog een dikke oude tapijt in de kamer. Er hangde een soort reclamedoek voor de ramen waardoor we niet rechtstreeks buiten konden kijken of verse lucht laten binnenkomen. Heel warm in de kamer, geen airo aanwezig. Oude maar goeie douche. Veel te duur voor wat je krijgt.

aangenaam om eens met Turnhout kennis te maken

dit was wel heel goed in het centrum van Turnhout gelegen. Het terrasje boven vond ik wel tof - op het dak, maar zalig om van de zon te genieten en een mooi uitzicht op de kerktoren vlakbij. Douche was super goed, lekker warm ook.

ik heb het niet zo op inrichtingen uit de vorige eeuw. Hoewel alles wel goed functioneerde. Helaas was dit ook een behoorlijk lawaaierige straat (snel optrekkende auto's snachts). Maar met het raam dicht ging het wel. Ik had eigenlijk wel een handzeepje verwacht op de kamer. Ook jammer dat er geen ontbijt was, maar dat was door overmacht en ook zo besproken, dus geen probleem
