Really quaint and cosy, rooms were so quiet and walls thick so had no noise disturbance at all. The room was comfortable, and the hosts were so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had! So well cooked and great quality ingredients. As our room has its own private entrance we weren’t disturbed by people coming in and going out at different times. It was like a mini holiday cottage.

Short walk away but on a busy road into town. Thankfully no traffic noise once in the room :)

Amazing B & B

The room was beautifully decorated and had the most gorgeous soft furnishings. The beds were extreamly comfortable and the shower was amazing. Great attention to detail and spotless. Owners were very attentive and happy to help with any requests. Breakfast is the best Ive had in a long time, both in quality and range of options. Parking is available on site and it was a short easy walk into Buxton town centre.

Great hosts, the breakfast was lovely too. Great location and interesting to hear about the history of the farmhouse and to look at the book about the farmhouse was really interesting. Really enjoyed our stay.

The room was lovely and great for family of 3. Just noticed abit of damp behind the single bed in the wall, but apart from that it was great.

A very nice all around experience.

We were warmly greeted and shown to our room, which was very modern given the age of the property. Built in 1580, a beautiful building with so much character. We stayed in room 1 in the main building, well appointed and very clean. Breakfast was very good, we had fresh fruit followed by a full English, extremely good portions. There were other things on offer if we wanted it. The owners were very kind and helpful. We really enjoyed Paul telling us about the interesting history of the property.

From the friendly welcome to the minute we left, our short stay at Hawthorn Farm Guest House was excellent. Paul and Sarah are perfect hosts. Excellent breakfast, very comfortable room and in a good location.

Clean, cosy and well designed with amazing hosts.

The hosts Paul and Sarah were an absolute delight. We stayed for 3 nights and they couldn’t have been more lovely. The accommodation is designed to a high standard and the rooms a clean and cosy. The stand out of our stay here was the incredible breakfast provided by Paul and Sarah every morning. Definitely worth stay here we could have been happier.

The entrance driveway can be a little tricky to find, but just look for the bus stop you won’t miss it.

A fabulous little hideaway 😁

Everything. Close to Buxton centre. Although just off the main road, you couldn't hear any traffic noise at all. The room was clean, comfortable and had lovely touches like good quality shampoo and shower gel, tasty biscuits and plenty of choice of in room drinks. Breakfast was delicious and any request catered for. The staff very friendly and happy to help. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Beautiful room, friendly hosts, yummy breakfast.

Charming cottage-style accommodation with a full breakfast that was absolutely delicious! Paul made every effort to make sure we were comfortable. I appreciated the little touches - heater came on in the evening and morning so we were greeted by a warm bathroom :) Would definitely stay here again if we’re back in the area.

Beds were a little on the soft side but I guess that’s more a matter of preference. We still had a good night’s sleep.

Our room was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed .The breakfast was excellent served very hot which I like ,location was central to Buxton it’s only a 10 minutes walk down the hill .Paul and Sarah are lovely host and made us feel welcome in their home Thankyou .

This is an old building, so be aware of this. What I mean is that, if you are looking for a generic place, this is not it. It is quirky, not perfect but charming. The hosts are wonderful and their breakfast is to die for.

Charming stay in lovely farmhouse, only a short walk into the town centre

Our room was in the original farmhouse, lots of original charm. Bedroom was very well furnished with modern en-suite. Comfy bed with good linen, very cosy room. The thick farmhouse walls kept the room nice and cool during our stay when it was very hot. Breakfast was excellently cooked to order and served in a lovely breakfast room by our hosts.

Convenient location and wonderful breakfast.

Absolutely superb breakfast - freshly cooked and delicious full English , fresh fruit and youghurts/cereals etc. The building is a lovely old farmhouse with 2 foot thick walls - we were slightly worried we would hear road noise but our room was beautifully quiet and we slept very well. Paul was welcoming and an excellent host.
