A beautiful historic hotel with breathtaking views of the lake and mountains!
Beautiful location with scenic views of Lake Thun and the alps; large comfortable room; good breakfast; free parking and very responsive and friendly staff. The garden looked lovely but the season to enjoy it was over.
The property is “quaint” and a bit dated. The restaurant menu was limited to “fine dining”.

Not advisable in summer heat, but a truly wonderful location.
Breakfast was incredible - such a beautiful view, excellent staff, and the food was really delicious. The views of the lake were amazing and access to the bus line was so easy! The free bus pass will take you all the way into Interlachen or just a few minutes to Thun in the other direction.
It was impossible to sleep in the room with the summer heat - there was a summer heat wave, but the room seemed to retain heat even after the rain and it was really unbearable - it felt like we were unable to cool the room even with the balcony door open all night. The room decor and bathroom is a bit dated and parking was a challenge at times (with the restaurant guests also using the parking), but everyone is really nice and the location is wonderful.
