If you want to stay in a comfortable place. This is it. Its quite, beautiful. Praise for the staff is all i have. Even before i left LA, I called and was helped by Stephanie. She is the best. As a foreigner i needed guidance and she gave it... i followed it and had no problems. The restaurant is awesome.... the wait staff is down to earth friendly. As for the .... the room is spotless... Clean to perfection. Key words, FRIENDLY, COZY, LOCATION...

The hotel has a beautiful view of Lake Thun. However, the hotel is up about 200-300 feet above the road where you get the bus. Also, for a $450 room there was no phone, no mimnifridge or even a coffee maker in the room. There is hardly anyone at the front desk- the same staff manges the restaurant.

Hotel is a little walk up the hill from the lake ferries -if coming from Thun or Interlaken - take a boat. Wonderful breakfast and dinners and a lovely view from our room. We walked to the lake (5 min) and went swimming with the locals.

The location of the hotel suits our purpose very well as we need a hotel by the lake with free parking. Initially, when we first saw the reception area, I felt a little apprehensive as we usually chose 4-5 stars hotels when we travelled. But when we went up to our room, I was extremely satisfy. The view of the lake and mountains was perfect. We also loved to sit on the balcony having a drink. The services from all all staff were very good and friendly. The dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were delicious. If I ever visit this area again, I will definitely stay here.

The hotel is located in a very scenic place with great view of Lake Thun. The rooms are old fashioned but are equipped with every thing that one needs. Absolutely loved the staff at this hotel. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant at this hotel has some very good dishes (but slightly expensive- around 40 CHF for one main course). But the hotel has a great collection of wines (almost more than 200). Overall an excellent hotel if one is travelling with a car.

The restaurant was amazing! We had one of the best dinners there in our lives! Outdoor garden setting - just magical! Free breakfast buffet included - that was outstanding also! Excellent service. Short walk down the hill to catch the free bus into the main town of Thun.
