Good room with a very beautiful view of the lake in a pretty building. Tea kettle was a blessing in too cold weather

The location was stunning and the staff were super friendly. The terrace cafe bar under the hotel does great food and is a lovely spot to spend an afternoon or evening

Bed so worn it has a dip in the middle. It was like sleeping on a hammock. Spider webs and dust every where. No one ever seen at the front desk for assistance. Part of our group had a dirty room on check in and there was a slow response to fix it. Expected restaurant/bar in the hotel as pictured in the description.

The location was amazing, and so was the entire staff. There was a little bar on the water along with a nice restaurant attached to the lower floor / dock level of the hotel. So what I didn’t know was that the hotel was separate to the people who owned the bar and the chef of the restaurant that did their daily breakfast which really was cool and gave these people an opportunity to share their individual services to the public. They would have a different local chef almost every night cook a few of their favorite dishes which were AMAZING!!!!!! Me and the wife would go adventure all day and upon return it was like you didn’t have to leave because you had amazing food and drinks right at your fingertips, and oh yeah and don’t forget the VIEW!!!!!!

We had no complaints to be honest.

The location on the lake was fantastic and breakfast was excellent.

We arrived at 10:30pm after a long day of travel. We had a code to get in with no issues, and our keys were on the counter when we arrived (5 bedrooms total in our party). My family had 2 rooms booked, and when we got to our rooms on the second floor (no lift) one of our rooms was still dirty from the previous occupant. Bed sheets slept in, bathroom towels all over the floor, food in the fridge, and the window wide open. I tried to message the staff multiple ways, but instant messaging came back that they were out of office for the evening. We had been up since 5am and were just ready to get in bed for an early and exciting day in Grindelwald. We decided to give our adult kids one of our pillows and one of our comforters so they could lay it on top of the mattress. We just started to settle down and I got a message that someone was on their way to clean it. Our kids brought their stuff to our room while a staff member picked up the room and said they would be back to "clean" it the next day. He did apologize and felt bad for our inconvenience and said we would be reimbursed, but that still has not happened. I have sent three messages and have not heard back yet. Our rooms were not cleaned the next day, we had spiderwebs in most of the rooms and we ran out of toilet paper and there still was no staff around to get us any. This was the end of 3 weeks traveling around Europe, Italy, and Switzerland, so we were a little disappointed.
