Aveiro Rossio Hostel

Close to town centre. Comfortable and clean dormitory. Lounge is great for reading and studying.

Has become a place for so called " Digital Nomads" who sleep all day and prefer to work on their computer in the dormitory whilst others are sleeping thus disturbing paying customers. When asked at reception nothing was done.

The location couldn't have been better, the breakfast was very nice and it's very cheap. So all in all it's great quality for the price. Except for the fact that I couldn't sleep properly, the rest was really nice.

Both nights I was woken up at 2am by loud guests checking into the room. I understood that the check in finished at 10.30, but both times guests were checking in in the middle of the night. While I understand that the staff cannot stop guests from being loud, I don't understand why it is allowed to check in so late, considering that there are no curtains to get at least some cover from the light of the corridor and the bathroom, which is inside of the room. Curtains for the bed and a shelf would be very cheap but very helpful improvements. Staff wasn't bad nor good, because they were not present except for checking in and out.

Staff great - didn’t get names but 2 outstanding were the lady with long , long hair and the tall African guy. A thank you to Housekeeping who keep the place very clean. Dorm size ok. Bed comfy. Very good equipped kitchen. Fabulous breakfast. Shower good with plenty of hot water (can take a long time to come through). Great location. Wi-Fi ok

The place felt very cold, no real heating. (And the weather was awful- cold and wet).
