Sleep in Centre - Old Town

We just used Aveiro as a stop from Porto to Lisbon, and the stay's location was right in the center of the town. We didn't really spend much time in the hostel but the rooms and bathrooms were clean and had everything we needed.

Our room didn't have a window, which wasn't specified in the booking, but we didn't spend much time in it so it wasn't a huge problem. Would have been nice to know beforehand or to be able to choose a room with a window.

We don't usually book accomodation with shared bathrooms so were a little nervous, but our stay was great. Really great value for money. The room, bathrooms, and shared areas were very clean. The rooms looked as the pictures show. We didn't feel like other people were in our space - we actually only saw one other guest. There are enough bathrooms that we never had issues with sharing. The hosts were very communicative and helpful. The location was amazing, right above some great cafes and in the middle of the main tourist area. We really enjoyed our one night here!

Everything is just great! The room was very nice and comfortable. They have 3 shower rooms, which is rare. It's an old building, but well-maintained and clean. Especially I liked how detail-oriented the hostel was: for example, they had the forms to fill on the bedside table where you can point out if anything is broken. Also I really like the design of the hostel. And it's located right in the heart of the city! They give you discount for the cafe outside and for the boat tour. We were lucky to catch the last parking slot right by the building.

The only issue is that it can be loud outside until late hour due to the central location

The room looked recently renovated but the lack of AC or a fan meant we couldn’t close the windows without hearing every conversation from the restaurant below. The shower unfortunately didn’t have hot water. And check-in was a bit confusing because the host gave me a different access code than the one sent in my inbox.

Main downside was that the room was directly above the restaurant, and because it smelled strongly of fresh paint, we couldn’t close the windows, making it difficult to get a restful night’s sleep with the noise from below.
