Clean, inexpensive and central

Breakfast could be more varied. Very limited choice.

A great location for Aveiro, right near the quaint shopping and restaurant area and near the canals. On a quiet street with little traffic. Breakfast was decent and the breakfast room was a nice place to sit and write in the morning. TV worked well, shower had good pressure and temperature. Lack of a lift gave us an opportunity to work out carrying our bags upstairs.

The room was really, really small, even by European standards. The bed was jammed right up against the sliding bathroom door, which made for zero bathroom privacy. The hotel had obviously just done some plumbing work, because the first time we turned on the bathroom taps, the water ran thick and brown for a few minutes. Same thing the first few times we flushed the toilet. So we didn't trust the water for drinking, though it might have been fine. While it sounds like we had some complaints, the room was fine for the two nights we stayed. We're not Rockefellers, after all and the location overcomes a lot of objections.

The location is great, in a quiet but still central neighborhood. Lots of restaurants and groceries nearby. The beds were ok, the room a bit too warm but still fine.

The curtains and blinds were not enough to block completely the sunlight, making it hard to sleep after the sunrise. One of the blinds didn't come all the way down.

Was a straight run from the bus stop/train close to sea front and fab restaurants with seafood esp Cais do Pescado ( go to the first floor area)
