Our small group had a nice, overall stay at the Holiday Emerald Hotel. I definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in the Old Quarter. - We arrived at around 3am and we made sure to coordinate our late arrival with the hotel, so check in was smooth. - On the first night, we found that our door lock was broken. Since it was so late, the front desk assured us that we will be safe in the premises and that they will fix the lock during the morning. No more hiccups after that! - Staff in the morning are very kind. The night staff a bit not as warm and welcoming. - We booked a Family Room and there was ample space for 3-4 luggages without feeling too cramped. It takes a while for the air conditioner to cool the room, but otherwise everything is fine. - Even though our room was facing the street, the street noise isn’t unbearable in the morning and there were blackout curtains as well. - The bathroom is alright. There is a water heater and bidet. They also provide shower gel and shampoo in a refillable bottle. - Lastly, the location is 10/10! It’s within walking distance to so many shops (Tired City, Culcat, Goi Gem, several other souvenir shops), convenience stores, spas, and restaurants/eateries (Pho 10, Banh mi mama, Bun cha 74). There’s also a TPBank atm nearby. This was definitely the highlight of this place!

The hotel is conveniently located in Old Quarter, in an area within walking distance to Train Street and St. Joseph's Cathedral. It is also surrounded by Michelin star restaurants, local cafes and souvenir shops. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. When we first got to the hotel, we were offered welcome drinks and were guided to our rooms with a brief explanation of everything. Overall, we had an amazing stay.
