Hotel Friedheim Weggis

The view from this accommodation is unbeatable, the best we had in our whole 3 weeks roadtrip in Switzerland. There are different types of rooms, each with its own design and cost. We had the one with lake view and it was fantastic.They also have a restaurant on site, tried it once and the food was delicious. Reaching the lake is relatively easy on foot in about 10 minutes. The ferry terminal and cable car to Rigi are also within walkable distances (15-30 minutes), so there are plenty of things to do for a few days in the area.

The only thing that didn't suit us was the breakfast setup. We would have preferred to have it as a buffet, to not have to wait every morning (one day the eggs didn't arrive, another time we had to ask when the food is coming after 15 min of waiting at the table, in another day there was food but had to wait for bread). We understand if that's the hotel preferred way, this is just a suggestion to eliminate the waiting times and have a more peaceful morning.

The original structure mainly kept and i liked it very much.

We needed AC due to the very hot weather conditions. But it’s normal for that building not have an AC ☺️

Very quiet place and good view to the lack.

The ceiling is very low. Even for a person whose height is about 170cm, you can easily touch the ceiling. The restaurant is overpriced and the staff in the hotel and restaurant is a bit racism. If you can’t speak Germany or you have an Asian face, please do not select the hotel.
