The rooms was okay for someone who only need to take a shower and sleep during his stay.. It was self check in so when you go you just press your code and you get the keys.. The location is perfect for someone who want to be as much as possible closer to the center but also want a quiet neighbourhood.. I didn't use their shower gel cause I brought mine from home, also the same with the shampoo so I don't know if there are okay, but they was looking very good.. In front of the building was a bakery witch everything was looking very tasty and the smells was divine, we wanted to try but on Sunday was close, like almost everything else over there..

Take in mind that they don't have a parking place for the people who stays there, but they recommend some parking that you need to make a reservation from before.. I didn't tried those cause they was quite expensive for us (65 euros for less than 48h, was the cheapest one), also some of them they was closed on Sunday, so in case you are leaving on Sunday you can't access your car.. I found one in between the hotel and the Dom (Marspfortengasse 10, 50667 Köln, Germany), you just go there and when you enter they give you a ticket which you have to use when you leave to pay at the machine (we left the car from 9am to 12pm the next day and we paid 32 euro).. The room didn't had a fridge so our water was hot until the morning especially cause we came during a period when the temperature was between 35-39 during day time and 26-29 during night time.. Also it has no air-conditioning (for someone who didn't notice from the beginning to the description that it doesn't mention it)..

Comfy beds. Ideal location when everything is reachable within a few minutes. Nice check-in system where you are given keys right away after entering the check-in code. Call it a key dispenser, nice feature:)

There's no elevator, so prepare to have some additional workout. The cleaning staff did enter our room whilst we were still sleeping, and managed to get into the room no matter that keys were inside the keyhole. But the towels were changed alongside newly made beds, which was a nice touch after coming back to hotel. AC only in the toilet, well, rather ventilation. And it's rather weak. No shower curtain or doors. I understand that it's mainly because of lack of space, but we can do better. As there are businesses and 24/7 life around, it may get noisy from outside, if you leave windows open for that extra needed air.

• The location is great, 20 minutes on foot from Cologne Central Train Station, in the heart of the city centre. • Check-in and check-out was spot on: we arrived after midnight, the hotel didn't have any issue with that. Check-in is automatic, as you are emailed a code to grab your key and the whole process is smooth and very easy to follow. Check-out was also great. We asked if we could leave the room at 11am instead of 10am and this was granted without any problem. • Mattresses were superb. They were sturdy and comfy, perfect combination. • The room was very good value for money (compared to other nearby options), very spacious with also a wardrobe and a table with chairs. • Very nice smell on the stairs to get to the room.

• The bathroom was cosy, but very tiny. The shower had a large curtain, it was not that easy to take a shower without touching the curtain or spill water on the floor. • There was no TV or fan in the room. Not a big deal, but with very hot temperatures a fan would have been nice. • Room view was on the street and because of the hot weather, we needed to have the windows open for ventilation. It would have been ok, but people passing by on the street were very noisy even late at night.
