staff were friendly and approachable, was near the city centre and accessible to wonderful walks

the shower was uncomfortable, to narrow, the freezer in the small fridge did not work properly, may be a small comfortable sofa, so that you dont have to sit on the bed to watch television, an air fryer would have been most welcome

Perfect room for a stopover.

Lots of space in the room. My daughter and I brought everything from the car into the room and there was plenty of room to walk around it all. Location was great as we had to be at Lake Manuwai at 730am. Living in Pawarenga would have meant leaving home at 530am, instead we left from Kerikerii at 7am.

no fault at all of the proprietors but of our own. Late check in meant: 1) could not find the entrance to the Lodge, suggestion lights at the front with the sign. 2) my daughter (15) really wanted a swim, she was going to gatecrash the pool but a person advised us of the rules of the pool lol

We won’t be back

Good location. Reasonably clean.

We found out the night before check in that there was tree felling directly behind Woodlands and couldn’t check in before 4.30. We would have changed motels if we’d known sooner. Also it was noisy with all the machinery, fire engines and clearing work going on next door. Place is very run down and needs some tlc. Missing latches on windows. No air con just a noisey fan attached to the wall. Mosquitoes galore. A very restless night’s sleep because of the fan and mozzies.

You get your moneys worth

The room looked out to the woodlands and was nice and quiet off the main road. Tv had access to Netflix which we enjoyed and the beds were super comfortable to sleep on.

Pressure in the shower was next to non existent. Had to remove shower head to actually have water on my body. Linen was not changed daily we had a blood stained sheet - not sure if it was from me or not that wasn’t changed on our bed. No sink in room other than the basin in the bathroom which felt a bit weird using it for both toilet use and for cleaning of dishes. Some mould in bathroom and the pillows were super thin which made getting to sleep quite hard.

Flooring in bathroom was uneven and a trip hazard for elderly parent. Heated towel rail didn’t turn on. Heater in guest bedroom wasn’t working.

The beds were comfortable.

I arrived to find that my room was located right in the middle of a block being used for emergency accommodation for Social Services. Entire families appear to be living in all the units on one side of the block. I had to organise an upgrade immediately due to the noise. There appears to be personal home furniture in these units so they are there long term. I would never have considered this Motel had I known. The upgrade was done immediately though and I paid the difference. It was not the best thing to arrive to after an extremely long trip with a tired small child. Wifi did not work for tablet only phone.

It was a verypleasant stay, quiet location and everything I needed.

It was very suitable for my needs as I just needed a bed for the night and had to leave early the next morning to continue north. The bed was comfortable and all the facilities were good.

There was extra linen available for me and the room was spacious. Being close to town and the airport worked for me, along with the proximity to the well appointed kitchen nearby and tea making provisions in the room.

Outside light on opposite wall put strong light into our room through the glass door, curtain at door was inadequate.3. Toilet was loose on the floor and needs to be secured properly. Another towel rail in bathroom would be good
