The cottage was comfortable enough for a one-night stay, as we weren’t too fussy given my husband was in the area for work. However, the flooring felt hazardous, with soft spots and what felt like holes beneath the lino, suggesting possible rotting floorboards. The dining chair was also on the verge of falling apart, and the oven made a clunking noise when closed. Overall, the cottage needs a significant overhaul and essential maintenance to ensure it is safe for guests.
