Overrated

Driving into the property is an experience! The lush, tropical garden, and entrance is gorgeous! The bedding was very crisp, clean and comfortable. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Location is great - close to several walks, waterfalls, activities and the township.

Sadly the unit we stayed in is looking and feeling tired. It’s overdue for a refresh. Carpet, couch etc very worn and hold a slightly musky smell. Because of these things, the price seemed on the high end. Our experience didn’t live up to the high reviews.

Excellent location short distance from town centre and great gardens onsite. Wonderful warm and friendly staff who took the time to really showcase this little gem they run. A nice tidy and comfortable room with all the necessities. Really Great water pressure at the shower and a nice refreshing pool with access to a cheap laundry onsite.

Awesome restful, rejuvenating stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at Colonial House Motel. It's located at a quieter part of Keri Keri but close enough to eateries and New World supermarket. Wharepuke Falls, the history power house and the Stone Store are also a short walk away. Mark the host, is really sweet, warm and welcoming. We certainly enjoyed our conversations with him (and his cat is adorable!). Without any prompting, our beds were made, towels replaced, and trash bins emptied daily - nice touches that we weren't expecting. We'd certainly recommend the place to anyone looking for a restful, rejuvenating stay with an awesome host!

Very convenient location for our family event

Beautiful setting and very welcoming host and cats.

Slightly dated, and very creakyand uneven floors. The odd bug, but it is surrounded by native bush, so we were happy to accept that fact.

Was a bit pokey and the humidity was playing havoc with mould on the ceilings and window frames etc. Unit didn’t get much sunlight so might have made it worse.

Perfect place for a family holiday

Location was beautiful!! Close to town but felt very tucked away. The owner was lovely, the pool was actually closed due to renovations but he still allowed us to take our kids in for a swim which was so appreciated because it was the main thing our girls were excited about with this stay. They loved it! Comfortable sized cottage, has everything you need. The beds were comfy and so were the couches in the lounge. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Kerikeri! We will definitely be back 😊

From the moment we arrived the owner met us in a warm and friendly manner. Took us to our room that was clean and quiet. Asked if we need anything to ask. I felt ok to ask. The space was warm and comfortable. We (6 of us) all said how well we all slept. There was everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom spaces. Thank you for having us.
