A very comfortable flat in an excellent location.

It’s a great central location, close to the Lido, the Quay and the town centre. Beautifully decorated and very well equipped, it’s a delightful place to stay. Fee is a superb host & made us extremely welcome.

Nice stay in a cozy appartment

We had a very nice stay in this appartment. It is comfortably furnished, quietly but centrally locted and we wanted for nothing. We felt very comfortable, had a good base for excursions on some days and short distances to restaurants and a small supermarket. We would book it again.

We loved everything about Camilla Hose Garden Flat! It was equipped with everything you could possibly wish for and Fee, the owner was just delightful! She was there if you needed her but didn’t intrude on you at all!

A nice place to stay in Penzance.

Close proximity to town. Lovely furnishing, comfortable beds. Fully equipped kitchen and exceptionally clean. Egg and bacon etc left for guests is a nice touch. Delightful and friendly host.

For a 2 bed property for 4 guests needs a second bathroom on same level as bedrooms

Lovely Stay in Penzance

Camilla House was beautifully decorated and had a fully equipped modern kitchen everything you would need for a short to longterm break. The beds were really comfortable and the place was spotlessly clean. Ideal location to promenade and lovely restaurants (would recommend the Barbican 3 min walk Tapas style 5/5) The host was friendly, accomadating and available. Parking on site made a big difference. Definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Camilla House! The rooms were very spacious, comfortable and regularly cleaned. The owner was really lovely - she clearly cares about her guests and remembered various elements of our conversations throughout our stay . We especially liked the attention to detail and all the little touches like the chocolate on arrival, homemade cakes, bottled water and lots of choice at breakfast. Thank you for a brilliant stay! We’re sad to have left :)

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location

We had a lovely room with a view of the sea. The hotel was spacious, clean and in a great location- perfect distance to walk to local pubs and shops as well as a walk along the shore. The breakfasts were wonderful- I had the banana pancakes every morning because they were so good! Our dietary needs were catered for too which was excellent- thank you. Also, having freshly baked cake left in the room most days was a great touch!

The worst host and owner

Small but nice and clean room, good location.

The worst thing about this property is it’s host - Fiona (Fee). She has a whole set of rules starting with 3pm - 6pm check in ( good luck if you hit traffic travelling from London), breakfast from 8am until 9am only - and you better be on time for your breakfast slot, and don’t stay in the breakfast room after 9am because this lady knows how to make you feel uncomfortable.. oh and if you have some more toast and you’d like some more jam to it, but it’s 8:59am FORGET IT. Fiona will give you the speech about “covid times” and how she can’t get it to you because it’s after breakfast service. Both me and my husband are healthcare workers and I still don’t know what covid has to to with bringing more jam... it’s not like I’ve asked her to make me some bread from scratch there and then. The rules are saying that if you don’t let her know what you’ll eat for breakfast before 8pm, or you’ll show up after 9am she will assume that you are not having the breakfast that you paid for. We were curious why there is a whole guide book on “the rules” in our room, so my husband decided to ask about these. Fiona became utterly rude and for some reason defensive and told us “this is how I run my business, if you don’t like it you can leave”, she said that to us twice and did not forget to add that the checkout is at 10am. Both my husband and I were extremely shocked, as we never experienced anything like this before. Fiona made us feel so unwelcome that we had no choice but to leave, with nowhere else reserved to stay. She turned what was meant to be a relaxing break to utterly horrible experience where you feel like a trespasser and a slave to your morning alarm clock. Our room was cold both during the day and during the night. Rule book was showing that the temperature is kept only at 16 degrees at night. To be fair there are blankets in the closet, but those won’t help you if you’re going to the bathroom.
