Summer lodge is a very beautiful place to stay during a tour of England, especially if you want to explore the Cotswolds on one side and the coast on the other. Slightly secluded and therefore only accessible by car, this very beautiful summer residence is exceptionally well-maintained, elaborately refurbished, and beautifully run.
The hotel features an outstanding kitchen that deserves high praise, and it truly convinces with its genuine coziness. At the same time, the ground-floor lounges are refurbished to an extremely high standard and with great taste. The hotel was not fully booked in July, perhaps because it is a hidden gem or simply a bit too far off the beaten track. It wins you over with charming service and plenty of amenities.
The only difficulty: there is no elevator, so I could not recommend it for people with disabilities, but as long as you are fully mobile, it is absolutely fine

Sadly no longer compares from a price point of view with the standards it once maintained 20 odd years ago.
