Banbury Wroxton House Hotel

The Age and look . And also the best place for us to stay as we had a wedding in Banbury.

When we arrived they had a Conference which seemed to take over the reception area, and we felt awkward while waiting for our room. The Breakfast Room was lovely and very inviting but the Dining room wasn’t

The staff are exceptional. SO friendly. The fact that you not only take dogs but appear to live them is even better.

Food, both breakfast and dinner, was superb. Room very nice. Staff lovely. Comfy bed

Lots of steps inside hotel. Shower difficult to work.

Good bar. Room fine double. Staff mixed

I booked 2 double rooms and was just given 1 double and 1 single. When I queried it I was told that it was booking .coms fault because that was what they sent and I asked her to email me a copy of the order. This never happened so on the Sunday morning I queried it again and was told this time that booking.com did ask for 2 doubles and then told me that there must have been an error on their part. However she then tried to justify the single room by saying that there was only 1 person in it. I said that was irrelevant how many people were in it as I had booked a double. She then gave me £20 compensation. I believe that they pulled a fast one and gave me a single room because it had 1 occupant. I am also not happy that the first receptionist lied. The meal we had as a groupp on the firstt nightt was also quite the poor- a piece of of overdone gristle masquerading as a medium rare steak!!
