Staff excellent very helpful. Room was quiet and bed very comfy. Great breakfast all in all great to stay before or after a flight. Thank you to the staff

Very disappointed with Clayton. Room is spacious but worn. Furnishings showing signs of wear. Bathroom…both bath and sink had enamel chips . Very unsightly. Very disappointed with food in Aviator Grill. Fish n Chips for £21 , the fish was prefrozen, flat , standard of a precooked frozen meal. Fish was lukewarm and rubbery, chips burning hot and a literal 2 teaspoons of mushy peas. Sent back. Substituted with burger. Better but not that great, especially for again £21. All staff were great. The plus for me is the shuttle because of mobility issues but sadly, until they refurb , will use another hotel and walk slowly to the T2.

The first room I was allocated (227) was probably the worst hotel room I've seen in the UK. It smelled terrible. The bathroom was shocking. Looked like something from a Saw movie. I tried to ring reception to tell them but the phone didn't work. Instead I went back to reception where they kindly offered me a different room. The 2nd room was in a different part of the hotel. It was obviously an upgrade. The room (280) was ok. However, one of the window locks was broken meaning the window wouldn't close properly. Not ideal on an airport hotel. It was late though so I didn't complain a 2nd time. Wouldn't go near the place again if you paid me.
