    Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with our stay at the Radisson Blu Manchester Airport. From the moment we checked in, I found the staff to be quite unhelpful. There was no real explanation of the hotel facilities at all — nobody mentioned where the pool or gym were, what time breakfast was, or even gave us any basic information about what was available. We were essentially left to figure everything out ourselves. The hotel itself also feels very dated and tired. Our room was clean, but there were large pen marks all over a footrest in the room, which had been positioned underneath a tray, presumably to hide the condition of it. Little things like this really let the room down. The gym and pool area were much the same. They were clean enough, but both look like they haven’t had any significant investment or refurbishment for a very long time. The whole hotel gives the impression that it is relying on its location at the airport rather than investing in the guest experience. The location is obviously very convenient for Manchester Airport, and the room was clean, but convenience alone isn’t enough to justify the experience. For a Radisson Blu, I expected a much higher standard of service and facilities. Overall, a disappointing stay and not somewhere I would be in a hurry to return to.
